Trains In The 1990's Basingstoke, 9th June 1994

Plenty of Class 47's in this selection, with Class 33, Class 60, and Class 73, plus HST, 158's, 159's, 165's, and various EMU classes captured during a stopover before and after a trip to Southampton - already uploaded previously. Filmed on 9th June 1994.

Jesus, I just realised the class 466s were tested with the lightweight inner framed bogies, it was mentioned on the Internet somewhere before , this testing I think led up to the usage of these bogies in future. Perhaps class 365s ought to have used these to be lighter overall.

It looks to me that the 466 has non standard bogies. It must have been on a test run.

Can remember when the class 442s were under SWT traveled from to/from working many a time on one now there on Gatwick express duties and there being phased out for class 387s
