  • Plenty of Class 47's in this selection, with Class 33, Class 60, and Class 73, plus HST, 158's, 159's, 165's, and various EMU classes captured during a stopover before and after a trip to Southampton - already uploaded previously. Filmed on 9th June 1994.

    Notice that the 4VEP on the end of the formation at 12:51 is 3417, now the last surviving complete 4VEP unit "Gordon Pettitt"

    Jesus, I just realised the class 466s were tested with the lightweight inner framed bogies, it was mentioned on the Internet somewhere before , this testing I think led up to the usage of these bogies in future. Perhaps class 365s ought to have used these to be lighter overall.

    It looks to me that the 466 has non standard bogies. It must have been on a test run.

    Can remember when the class 442s were under SWT traveled from to/from working many a time on one now there on Gatwick express duties and there being phased out for class 387s

      466 on test, they even have modern (bu today's standards) looking bogies. I wonder if they were lighter too. Whod have thought these immer framed compact bogies existed way back when

      This was a great era for mixture of stock and liveries, before things went more uniform and all unit based.

      southeastern failways these were new at the time and were on test. those were prototype bogies
