You were very lucky to be able to restabilize on your meds after that long. And whoever the doctor was that knew to reinstate you on a higher dose of valium knew what he was doing. That's usually needed after going CT off of them. You tend to have to go back to a higher dose to stabilize. My doctors are idiots who tried to rapid taper me and when everything went bad as I knew it would, they updosed me back to the same dose and wouldn't go any higher. So now I have to slow taper while already unstable.

Some seem to be slowly improving. Others, not so much. It's been 6 months since this started and it's certainly been a rough ride and I have a long way to go.
I was tapered off too fast almost c/t sertraline by Dr. 14 years use. Crashed. Reinstatement never worked for me, too late. Tried twice, reaction. So now Im in severe WD 11 month off. Lost everything.
I was ripped off Ativan in rehab. Was on it for 14 years. I'm 3 years clean now, but I'm unfortunately on gabapentin otherwise I can't work. I don't know if i can get off the GP. Im so damaged.

I'm freaking out a little just watching this video. To think about going back to where I was just freaks me out. I tapered so fast as in 30 days after doing 20-30 ml of valium for 15-20 years. I experienced horrors you can't describe. Hallucinations like crazy. The devil was in my room every night.

How long did your zoloft WD Last ? I CT it and Chlorprothixen at the same time after years of taking hit. Now I wonder if the constant vertigo is from that CT or from my Valium WD. man, we did stupid stuff..
I reinstated 5 months later on my Zoloft. I’m tapering my benzo first. When I was intolerance, I was getting a lot of vertigo. I will never cold turkey off of benzo again.
I'm on Ativan and Klonopin thanks to my doctor. She wants me off the Ativan entirely and using Klonopin to come off it... Our next chat isn't going to be pleasant as I AGAIN try to tell her my body does not consider Klonopin a substitute for Ativan.

The learning curve here is never do any detoxing with a dr.'s assistance. Kinda makes sense if you ask me...

Sorry for the late response. I would not switch from Ativan to Klonopin. Have you tried convincing her to switch you to Valium?

Can I ask which antidepressants and or sleeping meds your on while your tapering valium?
Zoloft and low Ambien. Tapering only one medication at a time.
