I also have saved cards through life. All of them. Recently, I decided to make floss drops out of them. It was fun to fussy cut the cards and when I use them I see the writing of loved ones who have passed. Treasured and being used. It was a very pleasant video. Thank you.

Old xmas cards....Sometimes I use them as gift tags...I cut out the Images or partials of them....use them a gift tags..

Hi Chris! Your framed Edgar Allan Poe looks fabulous! I loved the tour of your gorgeous X-Mas decorations!! 👏🏻🎄 A Nurge hoop has inner ridge on one hoop and outer ridge on other hoop to hold fabric very taunt! Even with fabric very close to outer edge of hoops! I saw the Country Stitchers ( Deb and Liz) demonstrate these on their Flosstube video in late August 2023 and I immediately ordered a large one from Amazon and have put two more on my Christmas list! They are the BEST!

Wow! That artwork is perfect for the season, so much talent! Love the MCM touches. Pretty sure that was a Jere wall hanging in the entry! I have a tree with all MCM decorations. Bubble lights, ornaments, vintage tinsel, and vintage rotating star. One of my favorite trees ever.

Your home is beautiful as are the decorations and trees. Your partner's work of art is great! What a talent. I miss putting out lots of decorations. When we moved from Maine to NJ 3 years ago we downsized to 938 sq. ft. from 4,000 sq. ft. It's kinda hard to use my 50+ totes of decorations and village pieces here. I used to decorate in different color schemes, most times before the colors became popular. Anyway, I love your home. Looking forward to your next video. Hope you have a great open house. The UK has much smaller places houses, so it is fantastic to see the big open space with decorations everywhere, and your tree is just breathtaking.
My tree is much smaller due to space. As my two children cannot keep their hands off it, my beautiful glass decorations are safely stored away for a few more years yet 😁

Your house looks so beautiful for Christmas. I don't blame you for showing it off! Your partner is incredibly talented. I love that painting! We have to decorate with two French Bulldogs in mind so nothing low, no decorations hanging from the bottom of the tree...you get the idea. Do you mark the date you get ornaments on the packaging? Anything we buy or receive or make for Christmas has the original year marked somewhere, usually on the packages so we can reminisce when we put them up. Where to start….your decorations are gorgeous. I use a lot of battery lights as well and have for years. They brighten up my various displays in my living area. I use them for my fall decorations too. I love lots of lights. The painting by your significant other is amazing. The stitched pieces you shared are beautiful. I too tried the Nurge hoops and have all the sizes except the biggest. I bought a bunch on Amazon when they had their huge sale a while ago. I have stitched many Mill Hill kits starting in the 80’s. Back then, they only had ornaments and they were stitched entirely with beads. I have fall, Halloween and Christmas ornaments. I totally forgot I had done them until I moved into my current house and unpacked things I hadn’t seen in years. They are displayed seasonally now. I really enjoyed your video. Have fun with your first open house and thank you for brightening up my evening.

I don’t think they are old fashioned, I call it traditional and classic, my favorite colors/ tones also. And that painting in your entry way is adorable, your SO is very talented. Now, on to Hand Standing Cat…..one angle I saw a Reindeer with a big rack of antlers, just to go along with your reindeer theme. Oh and your stitching is beautiful. I loved how you decorated your home, so much good taste and such a successful mix of classical and fresh Christmas atmosphere. An idea regarding the gold perforated paper. Let's say the object is a reindeer - instead of stitching the reindeer with the gold around it, stitch around the reindeer in a dark color, and the gold would be the reindeer.
