- When Tiffany McGee’s 14-year-old son, Tre’mall, was hospitalized with a gunshot wound in March, no one told her it was a sheriff’s deputy who shot him and the original incident report didn’t mention it. Tre’mall was charged with resisting by flight and Tiffany is demanding answers.

OMG, I cannot think of a more terrible thing to happen to a child and parent. This is so horrible to NOT be told your son was shot by a deputy.
The boy was only 14 and did not deserve a death sentence for running away, whether being foolish or not he could've just been afraid and ran. He's only 14. They were chasing a child and decided to shoot him in the back because he ran. The department refuses to use body camera to be held accountable. Disciplinary action should to be taken here against the police for being irresponsible with a person's life here and now.
People who commit crime or put themselves in risk have high probability yo get shot. And people who get shot, could be dead.
Lets support the police instead of supporting criminals

Was invited several years ago to Thanksgiving dinner 2 Nola paramedics presented themselves in uniforms. The conversation centered around lapel cameras they gleefully commented that Jefferson Parish was the only Parish where police officers were not required to wear lapel cameras and proceeded to say "if someone complains they have no proof! Our word against theirs.". And they both laughed.

And they wonder why folks want to defund the police. Shooting an unarmed compliant 14 year old black boy, not documenting it in the report, not allowing the mother to visit her son in hospital on the day of the shooting, refusing to publish the name of the officers involved despite indicating charges on the boy and refusing to implement body cameras on their officers. I hope the mother and son get justice for this.

I want to know why everyone is justifying a 14 yr old kid being shot because he was in a stolen car. Are you saying there was no other way for those officers to take down that kid without deadly force? Because he ran? How about those freaking officers use their legs and run after him! Tackle him, use some other method that doesn't result in KILLING him. He was 14, he would have time to rehabilitate back into society if he were still alive.

Guilty or not guilty we're not in a third world country, the child did not deserve to be shot at. The cops have a bad reputation for brutality. The kid was scared and ran, he's only 14. These cops need to be held accountable for irresponsible handling and lack of regard for this child's life.
