I'm sorry this happened to your car. I can understand your frustration of going out of your way to park where there is no one else around and yet your car still gets damaged.
At least it was a quick, inexpensive, and hassle free fix.

I got some advice as a fellow luxury car owner. Go out of your way to park so far that no one will ever park next to you, when you think your far enough, double that distance, then triple it. When that is not enough, take up two spaces so its impossible for someone to park close enough. Park sideways if need be lmao.
That's a bummer but good job getting it fixed, $250 is totally worth it, they did a great job.

Someone gave me intentional ding on my SUV a couple of years ago. It cost me less than $200 to get the door ding out but it was a lot of hassle dealing with it. It looked like they took a hammer to my door. Unfortunately some people do this out of jealousy.

Thats a bummer, I also park my new car far away from everyone else whenever possible. I have been thinking of putting some strips of PPF along the doors my self for these kind of issues. Kids sometimes fling doors open or a dog bursts out,etc.
Sorry to hear about the ding. Same happened to me, but I later purchased a second car (a low maint everyday car) just to do my running around in.
Gee whiz, I feel your pain. You can't ever have anything nice and keep it that way especially cars. Everytime you go out and look at it there is a new ding, pebble damage, and the worse being someone slammed their door into your car. That's why I don't care about having a nice car anymore. As long as it gets me from point a to point b that's all I care about.
Had this happen to my previous car. Completely understand your frustration, people are so careless. I just don’t understand how they think it’s okay to behave like that
Nice to see you Sai I have had it done to me, clearly some people have no morals if I did it I’d leave my reg no, when it’s happened to my car it’s so frustrating I have to get the dent taken out immediately the last one cost me £130 😬
Did you get it repaired from BMW or a different repair place? I have a similar dent on my car that I also need to get resolved

I parked my nice car in a parking lot, put the seat back and went to sleep. Woke up to a loud thud. Some old guy had deliberately pushed his door as hard as possible into my door. So I’m assuming whoever did that to your car did it on purpose.
Most of us do the same, park away from everyone, but then we find someone parking next to us. Fortunately for me, its always another BMW next to my F82. Sorry to hear, i know it must have been worse than the word infuriating can describe. One morning a cat got onto my bonnet, now that was raw emotion, got it fixed immediately, couldnt handle the fine scratches.
Sorry this happened to you. Does your M4 have the Driver Recorder feature, or you just decided to install dash cams instead of using that feature.

In Germany, if you slam a door against another car and then drive away, that's a criminal offense. And according to the German mentality when it comes to cars, that's worth the death penalty. Unfortunately, it happened to me a few weeks ago, I came back from shopping and there was a big scratch on the passenger side, which I only noticed the next day (it was dark). So I feel with you.
What radar detector do you have? I have an old Escort 8500 that the speaker blew on so it doesn’t tell me when the cops are around anymore

Get the midpipe . It’s really not that loud stock . That’s just fake engine noise being pumped in through the speakers
that's why I have two cars a beater to take too malls, grocery shopping, anywhere that I can"t watch my car I take the beater, if I go some where I can watch my car and not worry about it I take the good car, rule of thumb if you park real far away from other cars there's always someone going to park next to you regardless if there plenty of spaces closer, I suggest to get a beater just to be safe, You don't want to keep spending $250 every time that can get expensive

looks like you have Blackvue dashcam, you need to add a battery pack for longer (~20hrs) recording in parking mode.
Yes if you ding someone car I think you should leave a note, but are not that respectful.

Hate such ppl who do this...really mean and disrespectful. Once, I parked my Hellcat somewhere far from everyone and went to grap a coffee. While coming back a family car pulled out next to me and when coming out, they salmmed both doors on mine and ended with two horrible dents 💔💔. No matter what u do, there is always such awful characters😭😭😭

You should file a police report and have them pull the cameras to get license plate
not your fault, but if u had ppf all u had to do was heat up the ppf and boom brand new except for the dent
This is why i park away from humans. They are inconsiderate 😅. Also, never park next to a car that has baby seats on the back, they will ding your car when they get the babies out 😂
