"Woke Flag!" Alex Phillips Reacts To FA Standing By Controversial Change To England Shirt

- TalkTV's Alex Phillips reacts to the FA announcing there standing by the controversial design of the new England shirt despite criticism from Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer.
Sunak said that Nike “should not mess” with the St George’s Cross, as he waded into a row over the brand’s decision to change the flag’s colour on its new England shirt.
It comes after Nike revealed it had altered the cross using purple and blue horizontal stripes in what it called a “playful update” to the shirt ahead of Euro 2024.
The US firm said the colours were inspired by the training kit worn by England’s 1966 World Cup winners.
Alex says: “The minute you change the colours of a flag, it’s no longer the national flag!”

I'm Scottish and I think this is a disgrace, it's as if the English heritage is being buried. Break out the cross of St George flag and fly it with pride, if it offends someone that's tough.

It's the nature of the arrows over the top of the red cross, as if to take over. Arrows imply forceful movement. ... thinks arrows in the title sequence of TV comedy Dad's Army. The F.A, has insisted since then, that both the national teams, should take the knee. To this day the only national teams on planet Earth still taking the knee are the G.B teams. I think there are rules in all countries for how the country's national flag should look. And if someone makes a new version of the flag, you have problems with national flag legislation.
