    It’s incredible how, after following your advice, my quality of life has improved remarkably. I literally have a spring in my step. I bounce out of bed, I bounce out of chairs, I carry the groceries like it’s nothing. And my comfort zone, in all regards, has expanded. Keep moving, keep improving.     I just completed ten minutes of continuous 12kg swings! I had to stop to catch my breath but I never put the kettlebell down...I just kept going. I feel wonderful. What a great way to start my day! Thank you Mark Wildman!!

    For my my recent 67th. birthday I did 67 minutes of 360 / barbarian squat & pullovers.
    First 1/2 hour with a 22lb mace then 15# for the remaining 37 minutes. Felt great but train for this stuff. As my birthday present I purchased a Bells of Steel adjustable kettlebell.

    Today marks my first time doing Kettlebell swings for 10 minutes none stop with a 16kg. Hardly going to win any awards 😂 but felt like an achievement! Thanks for the inspiration everyone in the chat.
    Update: 3 weeks later and managed 15 minutes of swings with the 16kg doing 25 reps per min. 🎉

      @@elmhurstenglish5938 still going well but taken on a more structured club and Kettlebell programme so don't do much under a timer continuously at the moment, but occasionally on a weekend I will set the clock going and the most I've done is 22 minutes with 16kg but gotta admit, was shattered after that and form was starting to get lazy.

    I had a period of doing 10 minutes of kettle bell clean and press with a hand to hand swing between each one, incredible how strong my body felt once it became a daily routine.. reminds me i should get back in to it

      That's impressive though, hand to hand is interesting for tut, I've been building fibonacci ladders on the clean & press to get to 300 reps with 5 sets, the top ladder is ( 2 / 3 / 5 / 8 / 13 ) , it's worked well but now need to figure the progression to 10 minutes, thing is 5 minutes constant one side + 5 minutes constanr other side is a different beast ?

      I think 5minutes left and then 5 minutes right is a whole other ball game, swapping shoulders each rep gives a little bit of recovery time making a tough but at least achievable challenge (for me at least). I think I enjoy the mental grind and much as anything.
      I lost my way a bit by getting a heavier (24kg) bell, having less plan.
      I always found ladders tough, I’d loose count or convince myself I’d missed a set or done one twice or something 😂

    Wow last part of your talk really motivated me. 65 and overweight female And I'm in really rough shape. I've had self-limiting believes that I can't get fit again.... I'm starting your program for overweight deconditioned people tomorrow! If that older person can do it so can I. I have a big bucket list. Lol. Got to start getting fit so I can do it

    10 lb mace 360’s today for 10 minutes alternating sides/hands/direction on the minute based on your comments/suggestions and it’s a great mental tool. Got Adex club last summer (right before the Wildman edition was available🤦‍♂️) and have been working inside circles, outside circles, and shield casts starting at 5 lbs with 6 sets of each then cycling up to 20 sets of each before adding weight. Now up to 17.5 lbs currently at 10 reps per side per exercise. I’m 44 5 foot 7 and 155 lbs. very grateful for Mr Wildman’s motivation, clear ques, and

    The 10-min-idea, wich I probably got from one of your early videos, is the best work out scheme, that I ever found. (I recently discovered “Easy Strength” by Dan John wich - I’m convinced - will complement that for a second work out a day; and takes around ten minutes ;-) I set a Interval Timer (App) at 10x1 min with another beep at the 30 sec marks. And than I just do variations of one “thing” every day: heavier KB swings or cleans or TGU, lighter KB c&p or snatch, light club one handed, heavy club two handed, mace. For context: I am 56 years, 175 cm, 70 kg; heavy KB: 12 kg, light 8 kg; Clubs: 12 and 4 kg; mace 4 kg. I recently bought more KBs, so I can now step up in weight over the next couple of years. And all that stuff I learned from you, Mark. So thank you very much 🙏

    Did my fist 10min continuous 360s today, changing top hand every minute and with a 4kg Mace.
    Notes-
    It gets easier after the first 6 minutes
    I approached it as I would a long slow run .i.e. I did not start out faster than I planned to finish. Stayed at 20rpm on all minutes. Female age 42

      @@cioran1754 It was my first attempt at continuous Mace. Might add x1rpm per week going forwards until I get closer to x30. I've been doing Mill squat since it was first released and also Mace movements from Mark and Summer's vids.
      I have experience doing years distance running and KBs so the endurance mind set is part of me.

    Thanks, after three months I can now swing for 15 minutes, 10 pound mace, no rest. Stronger than ever. On my way to 1000 rep workouts. now if I only can convince my patients to swing clubs, mace, & Kettlebells.

    Since you posted this idea a month ago, I have followed my morning miles with a brief clubbell warmup, then 10 minutes of non-stop swinging a 10# clubbell. I am amazed at the difference this made in my muscle tone. Additionally, it has almost completely cured the upper back/shoulder blade pain I've suffered for the past few years due to sitting at a desk all day.
    Excellent idea and my new favorite routine!

    Since seeing you first say about ten minutes non-stop, I've been shield-casting my 22lb bulava for 10 minutes every morning - it's been an eye-opener, and feels great. In just a week of it I've managed to finally leap to good one-handed swings with the 22lb, my breathing has improved massively, and I'm standing almost an inch taller (I'm 44, so I don't think I've actually grown). Just got some Persian meels to add variety and complexity, but that morning ten minutes is staying no matter what happens. Cheers Mark, keep pushing

      I think Dan John did some stuff on it. I did it with the 24kg about 9 years ago - now I'm hitting higher reps in training using slightly lighter weights AND my hands aren't ripped to shreds!
      Kat's KB dojo is a great TH-cam page for tips on techniques to save your hands.
      Crux of training for it is to do the volume over a longer time, with breaks ...and shorten the breaks as you get better. Start with a lighter weight - say the 16kg - 30s work (say 14reps) 30 rest for 20 sets - then add 5s , take 5s off the rest every other week. The SSST now allows the bell to be put down so doing 20 reps EMOM x 10 is all you need to get that magic number. When I did it before (before I had a neck injury) you could switch hands but not put the bell down, resting at the top position only. It was a hand killer. Now I think it's a lot easier tbh 🤷‍♂️
      If you train high rep snatches, your shape will change pretty rapidly and your cardio capacity will go through the roof. It's the staple of my (age 50+) training. I mix it up with LC now, with 6 minute single bell sets and Dan John's armour complex (2,1,3 EMOM for 30 minutes) with 2 22kg bells.
      Have a look on Google for.Kenneth Jays VO2 max training - I'm sure it's readable online. Very good snatch training protocols 👍

    I do inside circles, outside circles and shield casts for about 20+ minutes nonstop. I do that after around 20 minutes with the kettlebell (but not nonstop.)
    That's not a challenge. I'd move the weights up, but I'm fighting a rotator cuff issue.

      Keep it up - I found Mark's TH-cam channel when I started on a weight loss journey a few years ago and his explanations on proper form and progressions stopped me from doing what I'd done in the past - which was always too much, too soon leading to injury.
      I started out with swings, then added the clean/press and circles. The thought of snatches terrified me until I tried them out.
      I had to get out of my own way on my TGU progression - realizing that I needed to take the weights I was using for other exercises down drastically until I had the form down, then adding weight wasn't an issue.

    Finally starting to feel and see the results of my last 6 months training (post c7/t1 injury). Can do 10 minutes 360s, SSST (20kg - 235 reps 2 weeks ago). Still struggling with anything north of 22kg in my left hand due to the nerve damage though :(
    Did 30 minutes snatches with a 16kg tonight, 36s work, 24s active rest (modified Kenneth Jay VO2 max protocol ) and my heart rate just broke 150bpm - doing this 2 months ago I was hitting mid 170s. That's why I've moved to double 16kg and 20kgs.
    Like yourself my old injuries are here and make themselves known from time to time but honestly, I feel brilliant. Just don't understand why so many at the gym I go to look at me like I'm an oddball 😂 - whilst they sit on their phones and crank out one set per 10 minutes on the inner thigh machine....

      @@WiseOneSun SSST - "Secret Service Snatch Test" - legend has it this was the physical entry test. Using a 24kg bell, get 200 reps in 10 minutes without putting the bell down. Hand switches were allowed afaik, but most 10minute girevoy snatch comps allow only one hand switch.

      @@WiseOneSun I love Mark for his positivity - as an older trainee with a long list of injuries I watch Marks videos for inspiration and pointers too. I got into KBs in the mid 2000's and really took to their versatility. I can't run due to a knackered ankle - 3 ops' and my foot is splayed slightly which eventually had knock on effects further up in my hip, leading to blowing my L4/5 and S5/1 at work. That meant cycling was a no-go for a while too. I really thought I was done.
      Swings and getups gave me pelvic stability and snatches allowed me to work on my lungs.
      I had seen some clubbell stuff (Scott Sonnon) but never tried it, then I got shoulder impingement and frozen shoulder.... I finally thought I'd give it a try. Now I have clubs, 2 maces and a collection of bells 😂
      I think for pre-hab/post-injury recovery AND general functional fitness, Marks combos tick all the boxes. Anyone asking me what I'm doing to keep in shape - his name and page is my first recommendation.

    I'm 66yrs old, my mile time is about 2 minutes, but finding a parking spot for the car may take another 10 minutes. When I began lifting it was powerlifting. Only recently have I given up 5x5 sets/reps to start time based training. Kettlebells, Bulgarian Bags, Heavy Clubs are now my tools of choice. I love using time as the measure. Feeling must better and surprising to me, even stronger.

    Dr. Sean O'mara says that running lends to adding visceral fat, and sprinting reduces it. Sprinting tends to be shorter time with longer rest compared to running. Are these 10 minute blocks more like running? This may be important for a deconditioned person, and obviously we should probably do both. But if physique is important would it be better to err on the "Sprinting" side?
    As I type this I realize that typically the physique changes from running probably come from regular 30-60 minute runs, and that this is more like the 15:15 Viking where it's High Heart rate for an extended period of time.

    This video got me to set 5min non stop Kettlebell Halos as a goal.
    To work my way up to that I am currently doing the Halos in a 30:30 protocol (30 seconds Halos, 30 seconds rest). I started with 5 min, now I am at 7 minutes. My plan is to add one minute every week, working myself up to 10 minutes of 30:30 and then go back to 5min in 40:20, working my way up to 10minutes again and so on until I can to the full 5 minutes non stop. I only have one 18kg KB at the moment so going lighter and longer isn't an option. Anyone has an opinion on that program?

    I do ascending mace 10 - 16 - 25 lb swings 1min on 20 sec off switching grips every min on the min - total 10 min on. 2 min break then the same 10 min on with another type swing, 2 min break and another 3rd 10 min of another swing - total 47 (ish) min work (with rests mentioned) - yah, it's not 10 min continuous but I'll try one continuous 10 min and see, I don't expect any issues.

    Since I don't have a vast array of weight options, I add time. I'm usually around an hour of total time, and I don't consider myself to be in great shape.
    Kettlebell - 3exercises per cycle, then repeat for what becomes between 45 and 60 minutes without putting the bell down. Usually clean and press, windmills and swings. Sometimes switch C&P for snatch, windmills for alternating through legs to uppercut but usually keep swings. If I'm fatiguing, I do round the world so I can keep moving without putting the bell down.
    Same time with club - but new to the club so working up weight with Adex. Mills, inside/outside circles (sometimes with pullover, sometimes with mill). A variety of swings between legs, outside legs and also out wide sideways to a swing overhead.
    Don't currently have anywhere to swing my mace as it won't stop raining, but that was an hour long routine too.

    I did run a Marathon once. Started from zero for it. And I actually started with a 10 min goal. Progressing from 1 min run, 1 min walk, to 2 min run, 1 min walk, etc. After you hit that 10 min goal it gets more easy. I guess it‘s kind of similar with workouts. Would make sense physiologically.

    It's not clear to me how you recommend we build towards this. I seen your stuff about volume cycles and density cycles. Does time under tension cycles come after completing a volume then density cycle, or can you start with TUT at like 1 minute, then add a minute each week?

    Ok. For the 67 year old who just 67 minutes of ass whoops..good for you. I also am 67. I didn't do that on my birthday. However, I did do this 10 minutes of continuous work. Excellent work out. Thanks Mark. Maybe next birthday I will up my game some. Have fun.

    I really started to like 10 minute EMOM slots for kettlebell exercises. I wonder whether you have an opinion on single-arm exercises. So if I do Single Arm Kettlebell Presses in an 10 minute EMOM fashion, I kind of alternate every minute the side, i.e. 1st minute 5 R left, 2nd minute 5 R right, etc. One could probably also switch hands within the minute linke 1st minute 2 L 2 R

    i weigh ~70kg and i have an 8 kg club. i can do 20' straight outside mill to inside pendulum to inside mill to ouside pendulum first thing in the morning and feel great after that. it's not extreme.

      'outside mill to inside pendulum'....what's the cycle there ? if you do an outside mill ( reverse mill ) you land on the outside again, how do you transition to the inside pendulum?

    I did 10 mins of Clean and press mixed with Snatches with a 16 kgs kettlebell, and after that i did manage to carry on doing my usual set of TGU, Swings and Squats, with some pull-ups in between, 10 mins should be our target indeed (at a minimum at least).

    I am currently doing 700 reps one handed 360° for 35 minutes with maces.
    400 reps with 5k mace, 200 reps with 7.5k mace and 100 reps with 10k mace. All nonstop. I stop only for swaping maces.

    Mark, doing continuous 360s over a few days, it seems the hands get vulnerable to blisters with the longer lever and knurling, more so than 30/30 timing. For people who plan to attend your workshops....we'll be using staff, club and Mace for hours x3 days in a row. Would zinc tape be a good hand protection taping option or gloves or something else? I have soft skin and would prefer not to wince through half of the workshop if I can prep the best hand protection in advance. i.e. in the absence of tough skin....use...? Particularly area between thumb and the side of first finger. Thanks

    in 19 days and at 63 yrs old I'm only 3 months in, back to training beyond the chinese health wand set, and 8 pieces of brocade. Yet for the past 5 weeks I've done 3 sets of one hundred two meel swings, and have progressed to 10 minutes of two hand meel swings with 4 lb meals. I will make it up to a club, then up to the 25 by the time I'm 64.
    Hey its a goal.

      900’ farmers carry with two 35# bells
      60 halos @ 25# bell from/to rack position
      90 pass around the body with 25# bell
      150 kettlebell two hand swings 25# bell
      Average heart rate 119
      Peak 153

    I fell on 12/27/22 and hurt my wrist. Not broken, but I STILL can't swing my club, even at much lighter weights than I was working out with. How do I judge on what is an acceptable amount of discomfort and resume my club program?

    What is the first thing to break down when doing say 360? For me it's the grip, I'll last 6 min before my fingers just about let go. Is that the weak point of anyone else?

      @MarkWildman I already have double cast iron bells from 16 to 48 kg including some double sizes so I am good. I have a couple comp style bells but I am not the biggest fan of the comp bells, mainly because the tiny handles make them feel like a toy to me. Everyone has different preferences I guess. I don't have 22kg bells but I have 26, so I will jump to 24 and do a 24, 26, 28 progression and see how that goes. Thanks for the advice

    Does this assume you only have access to one weight? I keep trying to rap my head around why you wouldn’t raise the weight. I definitely understand the cardio and flow pros of this so maybe that’s where this is coming from. But as someone who came from traditional lifting to the maces, club, kettlebell, slamball camp. I find there isn’t enough emphasis on going heavy.

    You can do 300 kettlebell swings in 8 mins. That will effectively cause you to lose weight and give you a good physique.

    10 minutes at 25lb mace is hard but worth it. Add 1 minute per week and by spring you’re there.
