amazing harvest, and I have to admire how calm and understanding you are with your children. I am going to try this method on my garden this year, thanks for the vid!
Digging potatoes with my kids when they were little was one of my favorite things in the garden. Thanks for sharing. Going to try the wood chips in western NY this year.
How lovely to see your kids getting stuck in and being so enthusiastic! You're teaching them great lessons for thier futures. And what a fab harvest! I'd be thinking about all of the chips I could make too. Nice one.
Whoa, that is an incredible harvest, congratulations! This is so inspiring, and I think it’s brilliant that this is a family effort - your gorgeous children really look like they had fun 💚 Thank you for sharing and a big thank you to your Wife as well, I’m assuming she is the one behind the camera! 💚
Lol! As it should be 😃 We look forward to our potato harvests too, but growing them in containers we are always disappointed. This year after finally removing all the old and diseased trees that shaded our yard we’ve created my dream vegetable garden. So I finally get to grow potatoes in the ground! I’m no-dig and have a tonne of wood chips from the removed trees - it’s like fate that I’ve seen these wonderful episodes of yours! Thank you again 😀

I’ve never grown potatoes before, but I have some doing really well right now, what would you recommend as far as storing a crop for best/prolonged use?
The best place to store potatoes is underground, I grow a mix of earlies and mains and harvest as I need them. The ones at the end of the year like this I store somewhere cool and dark but frost free. I use one of those supermarket plastic storage containers covered with a Hessian sack
As-salamu alaykum thank you so much for your gardening videos. I've always done traditional western row gardening with great results but this year I want to try planting directly into mulch (I have 4 tons of it). Do I need to do a layer of soil under the mulch or plant directly into 1 ft. deep mulch?
Assalaam Brother,I love watching your gardening videos.brilliant tip. Quick Question Akhi. I’m currently growing potatoes in bags and I was told that I had to wait until the leaves die down before I harvest. I see that your potatoes are ready when the leaves are still green.. What do you suggest bro?
I harvested them quite late in the season just as it was about to get cold. Are yours main crop (5/6 months to harvest) or earlies (3 month ish to harvest). at this time of year i just harvest as i need them. i did a video on planting in containers - th-cam.com/video/d2knGZWqwAk/w-d-xo.html
