I first listened to this mix when it came out. I was sitting in my room on a snowy night, it made me go outside and enjoy everything. At the time I felt so broken and alone in the world and music helped me get through the tough times. listening to it again in 2020 almost made me tear up, these songs are nostalgic and even inspired me to make some of my own lo-fi and chillhop beats. My mom passed away a few months before I got off the AT. My dad was just getting out of the Army, and wasn't doing so well. I got back to Florida, and things did not go so well for me. My dad wasn't going to let him, and I go through a rut and be depressed. I got home from college one day after the semester was over, and I had no desire to go back, and he had a converted camper van waiting with a trailer. We packed our shit up, the dogs, and left. We traveled around together for awhile, and eventually settled in a small mountain town in Colorado at almost 9,000ft of elevation. This was in 2017, when this mix came out. It was the first snow I'd had seen in a long time, and never lived in incredible mountains like this. Its honestly much like your album art, except for a lake we lived by the Rio Grand. My dad passed away two years ago, and I still listen to this mix every winter. It gives me a sense of peace I can't even explain. It automatically brings back those memories, when overtime, sometimes they fade away. Thank you. I'm opening a small cafe bistro here in town soon, your mixes, especially this album, will be featured. I want it to feel like home, for people to feel warm and like they're with family.

I’ve only recently discovered lo-fi/Chillhop and so glad I did. Due to an accident I’ve developed stress, concentration and input filtering problems that can make it hard to enjoy pretty much anything. I find that I can handle and enjoy this music much more easily, perfect to assist me in concentrating and calming down, or just relaxing and smoking a joint. Big thanks for your beautiful work!
