Parents try so hard to keep their children safe. I passed on my fears to both my boys. I wish I knew then what I know now. I’d raise them so differently.

I also experience this sometimes, but it gets better when you realize the power is with you. Other people can’t ‘take your energy’ if you stay in your own energy. There is also a technique called the Frame Technique, someone who talks about it is Aaron Doughty. It helps you to stay in your own frame / energy and distinguish between yourself and other people. It’s a meditation that’s on TH-cam I think!

The right people with a similar vibe as you, can not only be tolerable but even uplift your spirit. After all, as humans, we’re wired to live in tribes, i.e. small or medium sized groups of people. I am also not there yet, but I have realized that socially isolating myself out of self protection, ultimately makes me lonely and depressed. Either way, nice ‘meeting you’ and all the best brother!

Stuff like trauma can lead to an overactive sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the flight and fight response. Breathing techniques can counter that by inducing a relaxed state and switching the nervous system the body currently uses from the sympathetic to parasympathetic. If you wanna go even further down the rabbithole supposedly each nostril is connected to one of the different nervous systems, so you can practice alternate nostril breathing to constantly disengage and engage both of 'em.
