And the pacing (how long you took to get to your point) was a bit off. If you could rework these a bit think itd be perfect for your main channel even. In my opinion, the DS remake looks waaaaay worse. I literally dropped it down after the first stage for how ugly it was. But the high pitch of the NES soundboard is also horrendous, so...

I love this game when I'm in a patient mood. Its level design actually holds up well, especially against newer Fire Emblem games. I would've bought it on Switch but I didn't want to support the release model. If you have a Switch profile linked to a Japanese Nintendo account you can play the Japanese version on Switch Online anyway.

That game seems like such a natural fit for an episode, given how many areas seem JUST out of reach: the edges of the desert, the ruins of the buildings, and the areas with restricted cameras (the factory, the amusement park, and especially the castle). It's a gorgeous game, a popular game, and one that appears to be a great fit for the BB style of unbounded exploration.
I always wanted to play the original version of shadow dragon, for some reason this version seems to expand more on the story and the continent's lore than the SNES and DS versions (like that little story of the dragons Naga, Basilisk and Salamander, which is NEVER mentioned in the other two versions), but I didn't like the fan translations so I really would like to try this one, sadly I don't have a switch, and I don't think I can get one before March 31, why Nintendo? Why you make this to us?
My main problem with this game is that the remakes are just flat out better than it. The idea is cool and can mean other fan translations like it could be next, but its hard to play this old game knowing it's the worst fe has to offer.

I've been absolutely loving this game. The oldness is just so nice and I actually like the slow pace. I only use 2x speed on enemy turns.

I played Fire Emblem the first time is from the GBA version and I really enjoyed it
I originally played it on Nintendo DS-Shadow Dragon.
