It starts with a scream, to wake you up for a little musical journey centered around Lolleatta Holloway’s famous Stand Up vocal sample. We begin with a rigid hip hop beat and a vocal loop only to quickly fall into a bit of laidback, guitar driven funk before arriving at the song’s main theme; a soulful Wurlitzer melody. From here we slowly build up and bring all of the elements together towards the end, where a house beat glues all of the different harmonies and rhythms together. And then it’s back to funk again. Enjoy the ride!
