if you ever fast again please don't use anywhere near that amount of salt that's why you were dehydrated take 15 granules of salt in the morning and 15 at night hope this helps

It takes a lot of discipline.
The feeling of being lighter in the morning helped motivate me throughout my fasts.
But the cravings throughout the day made me more mindful of my decisions
Being healthy is a lifestyle, not just a quick fix
Why do you think people do stuff like this? The reason a lot of these fads get so popular is due to them looking like a quick fix . If someone asks how to get in shape and you tell them "eat a balanced diet with plenty of whole foods, have a solid sleep schedule, and exercise often" and someone else tells them "EAT THIS SUPER FOOD AND TAKE THIS DRUG TO GET IN SHAPE IN 10 DAYS!", a lot go for the latter and end up spinning their wheels forever.

I'm 90 hours into a 120 hour fast, but not sure yet if I want to extend it another day to 144 hrs for even more benefits! The weight on the scale was encouraging today, even if I know a lot is water weight.
Working out on the first day of your first water fast is ridiculous. Light cardio, walking, anything would've been better than a real workout.
With NO salt in the body too 💀💀💀
Of course it’s gonna be hard for tan. Mf an addict to sugar. Plus from 0-100 is not the best way to do this imo. Gotta start slow. Gradually move a day. Start a 16/8 window first then move to days. I do intermittent fasting of 18/6 daily and one 24 hour complete fast. I have lost 60 pounds over three years
This was a dope video. It was cool to see you try the water fast and go 4 days. Even seeing Tan do the amount of hours before he folded was dope just because it’s not easy. Definitely liked following along with the journey of how it went for y’all. Major props thanks for another great video🙌🏽.

I do this often and, on top of a lot of water, I drink a cup of black coffee in the morning and 1 or 2 water bottles full of water with sugar-free electrolyte power and about half a spoon of salt throughout the day (some days a cup of black or green tea with no sugar). The electrolytes are a huge help. If you get past day two or three, it gets easier and easier. About 4 days is the sweet spot for me, and just make sure that you don't cave and eat some garbage food or a huge meal right at the end. You gotta ease into it and ease out of it. Oh, and don't trust a fart if you go deep.
I'm not a nutritionist, but since subscribing to the channel, I've become a medical doctor; really look up to you and the boys, big ups to you guys for trying this challenge out.
Some insight, if you feel like you need it, the goal of the water fast is to hit two things physiologically : 1. Autophagy 2. Ketosis.
1. Autophagy, (pronounced auto-fa-jee) is the state of your body's immune cells eating your fatty cells (known as lipocytes) typically found beneath your skin(subcutaneous fat) , or around your internal organs (visceral fat), the latter of which, is where the "health benefits" of this challenge is.
2. Ketosis the state of which your body uses alternative sources to create glucose (gluconeogenesis) and is digested by the liver to form the waste product of ketones; hence the name. Why is this desired? Remember that state people said earlier about not being tired and mentally clear, not hungry and just general feeling good around day 2 or 3? That's the state of ketosis that a lot of people chase when they start fasts or go in fad diets like Keto/Atkins diets. The goal is to avoid the hormone insulin which can cause spikes as a result of ingesting carbohydrates; this is why we get food comas after a hearty pasta or some pizza.

I do intend on giving this challenge a try, probably towards the end of my cut to try to lose the stubborn few kg of body fat I've got left.

I’ve done 4 days before and it was tough but after ketosis kicked in and the 2nd day ended, I did get a burst of energy as my body started to break down the fat. But working out on a water fast is insane I don’t recommend that unless it’s suppppper light

Richie got that mental resilience, 72 hrs fast on the first time rather that slowly easing it in with a 18-24 hr fast first is a bit of an overkill. Ive been doing intermitted fasting every day for years and even I find it difficult to do a 48 hr fast, let alone 72 hrs sheesh
They make supplements you can put in the water to help out instead of using straight salt. I use liquid iv in my waters

I have 39 minutes till I end my 4 day water fast. I have lost 11 pounds. This is my third one in a short period of time. I have been doing them every 2weeks and 3 days in between each fast. I am retired so it is easier than if I had a job I had to go to. (64yo) I feel great from them. I have been doing them so often that it is easy to do now.
I’ve done a 84 hour fast it is a great way to restart your digestive system, short term pain long term gains. Just don’t jump back in with highly processed foods and sugars, start by eating whole foods.

ive done 36-48 hour fasts in the past a few times and 72 hours once...did a lot of reflecting during that time but it was difficult because i had to go into work feeling weak....meditation and sleep helps get through it though!....btw....you should consider trimming the pits....my geez....
You can achieve autophagy though intermittent fasting too. Breaking your fast as important as fasting itself. High protein and fats meal is best.

Don’t workout when fasting maybe some light walking, when you go heavy you gonna get hungry. Don’t recommend fasting too much because it can lead to some hair loss.

Jokes aside no knock on Tan. Start with intermittent fasting. 16/8 then work your way to 24 hrs. Your body adjusts and you find better ways to fast. I usually get a hard workout and have a large, carb and protein heavy meal before a 24. I also do it on my rest days. It feels seamless when I do it that way.
