Cannot express how much I love your analysis videos on the traditions behind Fatal Frame. I don’t think I’ve been able to learn so much about Shinto and Buddhist practices in Japan anywhere else.

You've secured my subscription with this one, just a very interesting history and easter mythology class. Was honestly surprised that you dont have more supporters from the quality of the vid tbh.

Japan has such unique and interesting culture and religion, and seeing your analysis on Fatal Frame's rituals. How much it delivers so much they adapted into a horror game, really shows the amount research and inspiration they've taken to make this.

@@thegamingmuseyou’re welcome. Your videos are far more better of telling the many aspects of these games than avalanche reviews in my opinion!

Fatal Frame is by far my favorite horror game of all time. The only one that was truly scary to me. I played it when it first came out and absolutely loved it. I'll never forget the time I got stuck, but couldn't bring myself to go back into the doll room to search. 😂
I still have my copies of the games and cherish them.
I have since learned a lot more about the Japanese culture and eventually the language as well. Whenever I read about Japanese legends, Fatal Frame pops into mind because it's so heavily laden with myths and legends.

Fatal Frame is one of the few series which still manage to scare me. It's an incredible series.

oh my god, another FF1 video? i didn't know this was gonna end up being a series, it's probably my favorite thing on this channel since the KCET documentaries. well, all the game development documentaries you've done are seriously goated, but i almost forgot this was like a lore channel back in the day. anyway each FF1 video builds off the previous entries so nicely, it feels rewarding to correctly predict what you might say next! when it's all wrapped up this would make for a badass book (e-book? idk if you do printed materials anymore). cheers
