Her discipline and perseverance is something a lot of us should take note of. Truly one of the most wonderful person in the business. A living legend.

Its easy to have the perseverance when you have the money to see all those doctors, specialists, lab tests, therapists, eat a special diet, try natural therapies, try new therapies, etc. What she has is an auto-Immune disease and doctors need to start being brutally honest and tell people; “There is NO cure!” You can do things that make you feel better and function better - but there is NO cure! Stop wasting your money, admit you are going to die one day, and then move forward and make your end days the best they can be.

True but she also has access to a lot of money which takes that pressure off of her. She’s able to pay for all the help she needs. The everyday person can’t do that.

I met her once at the mall, she was with her mom and sister. The sweetest person and humble, she give my daughter an autograph. What an inspiration this woman is
My PhD was all about gamma motoneurones, the nerve cells that are affected in Stiff Person Syndrome. In an academic job interview in early 2000 I was asked if there were any diseases of gamma motoneurones. I had to say, “Only possibly one…”Stiff Man Syndrome’’’ (as it was known back then), “But many people don’t think it exists”. Well it does and, unfortunately, we’re a long way from understanding it. Thank you for talking about it, Celine. That will encourage further research funding 🙏🏽
If you develop a cure to stiff person syndrome this would also assist to cure ALS,... keep working...n best of luck...!!
Yes, and trying to find information on Stiff Man Syndrome back in the 90’s was difficult, especially on the internet (getting very dodgy information coming up). 🙊🙈
Hopefully with time and more awareness of such diseases research will find a way to help those suffering.

Trust me, when someone is dealing with a life altering medical condition, that is what you try your very best to do. look as normal as possible from the outside. Because you don’t want the public to see you struggling. I know personally how that feels like and I wish Celine the best and that she is able to still live her best life.

I have loved this woman since I was 8 years old. I am turning 40 this year, and she is the ONLY artist I have ever paid to see in concert. I hope I have at least one more chance to do so again. I wish her all of the best.
I've been a fan since I was 7 and I'm 33. I can't wait to see her in a concert. I'm sure I'll cry my eyes out.
I was in high school when I started listening to her French language albums in the 80's - I made all my family and friends listen, saying this girl is going to be a huge star one day. I'd never heard a voice with such natural raw talent. I was thrilled when she started tackling the English language market and watching her rise to fame. Incredible singer and woman. Truly a living icon!

I have a daughter who loves Celine, I mean LOVES Celine. She played her cds when in high school all the time. Fortunately I found I love her voice and music too, so it worked out. My daughter is now 44 and still stays in touch with Celine's life and cares how she's doing. I think Celine gave my daughter a picture of genuine (gentle) strength and confidence she needed to see, so I thank her for that. It doesn't matter that she doesn't know she did that. She did. I pray the best for her. 🙏

1:39 and 4:58. I was lucky enough to take my father to see her perform perhaps her last time at Barclays Center on March 5, 2020 just as the world was shutting down. My dad is a man of few words and she is one of his favorite singers, so for me to receive a long, beautiful txt message the next morning thanking me for taking him to an omakase dinner before the show and walking around his old stomping grounds that brought back many memories was more than I could have asked for. Stay strong Celine!

I’m so glad I saw her in Vegas in 2019. I had tickets a few years before and travelled there anyways but the show was canceled due to Rene’s cancer returning. Beautiful talent. I wish her a miracle!

Celine’s body had such a trauma..He really was the love of her life. its’ as if her body had remained stuck in that moment when he told her he had cancer again. Its’So so sad. As if subconsciously she had somehow chosen to not live without him. I hope she is having some trauma informed somatic healing . I once heard Gabor Mate’ say “thoughts are the language of the mind. Emotions are the language of the body”. Wishing her deep healing so she may continue to share her beautiful music with the world 🙏

I have SPS and have had it since 2004 when I was officially diagnosed and part of the work at Johns Hopkins. I have been through so much with this disease….ups and downs but it was hard to never be understood or believed even by Primary Care. Then you went public and I no longer have people looking at me like I am making it up. THANK YOU FROM MY ❤!
