A suggestion for Power Cats. Always give the Fuel Efficiency and Max Range at the different RPMs.
I love the Leopard 47 PC, but due to its fuel efficiency and short range it would not work for me. I believe this has a max range of 600 nms at 7 knots. I am not sure of the efficiency but from what I can find (which is almost nothing) I think it is 3x that of most PCs at 5 gallons per nm at 2000 RMP. If you have the actual numbers can you list them?

Our plan is to purchase a 40' to 50' power or sailing cat in the next 4 to 5 years. We will live onboard and plan to sail the world. Don't have any plans on where but an Atlantic crossing will be a must at some point. I watch most of your best cats for under series. Right now we are leaning towards sailing cats, but we will both be in our low 50s when we start. Not sure if a power cat or sailing cat would be best. We like the slow pace of sailing but not sure about getting older having to work with the sails.
So I may contact you in a few years to start looking for our live aboard, for now it is just a suggestion based on information I want to know when I watch videos. On a Power Cat, I would think fuel efficiency would be a key factor. Just my opinion.
I love the Leopard 47 PC, it has my favorite layout and I really just like everything about it, except fuel efficiency (unless I did not compute the efficiency correctly when watching some other videos). This is why I asked for the information.

Brett Sears If range and a leisurely pace are your thing, might I suggest buying and converting a Tug boat. My case won't be quite the same as yours, but I bought my tug, fully operational and very seaworthy, for well under 100k (seller was desperate, needed to berth freed up). The same day I signed the papers on the boat I was also able to sign a deal with BNSF to sell them my 2400 hp Alco 16v 256 for more cash than I paid for the boat and a repower with a Cat C18 and Wärtsilä CPP drive.
My 96' Tug yacht, a beautiful modeled bow pulling tug, has a range of over 25k nautical miles, with its fuel capacity of 25,600 US gal, and an average fuel consumption of 10g/h and average speed of 11 knots. In about 3 more years I'll have completed her refit into a high quality tug yacht, and have less than 250k into her.
