Yes, he might not be an all time great like Stipe yet but if Jon wins versus Aspinall and then Aspinall keeps going strong afterwards - How is that not good for Jon's legacy? It's like when Floyd beat Canelo, before Canelo became an ATG. I get the 'high risk - low reward' talk but I still think it's a stupid way to think and if you're truly confident, you'd fight anybody.

Jon, Dom, Jiri, Glover, and Jan could take anyone’s heads off including each others in a fight. The 205 and 155 divisions have always been stacked and hard to win and keep a title in. Jon and Don was like Ngannou and Fury where one guy won by a slim margin via action but the stats backed the other guy who won by a less than exciting performance (point fighting instead of the exciting finish’s and knock downs we prefer to see as fight fabs because landing all those jabs over all the rounds helps build points to win although it’s more boring to watch than someone like Francis Ngannou, Alex Perreira, Chuck Liddell, or Wanderlei Silva who throws almost everything with bad intentions and more power shots than jabs)
Dominick reyes is still arguably the best striker in the division besides pereira . The only guy in UFC to outstrike jon jones , out of all the elite and high level strikers jon jones has faced .

I disagree with Dom about Stipe as the HW goat. In the UFC I’d vote Randy Couture or Ngannou (if Francis had stayed but for the corproate greed and contract negotiations bs from WME). Fedor was another HW mma great. Jon will tap out Stipe in a HW fight. Stipe should have better kickboxing and bjj for the level he plays at man.
