What a great channel. I love the stories of college football’s beginnings. You do a great job. I’m also a big fan of Matt Rhule. He was a great coach at Baylor, my favorite football team. Keep up the great work and I hope Nebraska has a great season. Thanks.
Thanks for another informative video :-)
Drunk at 3 am right now wondering how the Heisman was decided to be named the heissman. Your video helped and you’re a Nebraska fan. Me too. Instant subscribe 👍🏽
Great video answered a lot of questions I had . Also I'm an Alabama fan but have always loved Nebraska and in my opinion they have fan base with the most class of any team and I believe they are about return to greatness this season where they belong it's been a long time and we have missed watching those boys kick a little behind.
This is a great video congratulations and good job. I’m gonna go get the book.
Outstanding video and topic!
Thank you!
Good stuff. Keep up the good work. 🙂👍🏻🏈
Your channel is fascinating. Id love to see your insight applied to the nfl as well. I was surprised to see the Eagles tush push was a play from 100 years ago
I am not very well versed on the NFL - but we'll see what happens as time goes on.
Can you do one on Howard Jones USC coach
Doctors back then really felt like they were making it up as they went, but I guess you can’t argue with those results
As for limiting presnap motion in 1921, one of the big differences in Canadian rules is still allowing it
Fun Fact - Marcus Allen is the only player to win the Heisman, Super Bowl MVP and NFL MVP.
WRONG !!!@
In my opinion, the Heisman Trophy is the best individual award in sports. Period.
It did but now it's just an award for the top quarterback of the championship level team
Wow, I had no idea! Also can't figure out how the battery plant fumes worked, or were presumed to have worked.
Haha, brother I went to college I. Greensboro, NC. I grew up one town away from there. But when you said "gofurd..." and said it was in North Carolina, I was stumped and had to Google who in the heck Clemson played when they won 122-0.
It turns out it was GUILFORD college, in Greensboro. That's "gill furd" phonetically, named for the county that Greensboro and High Point are in.
I went to a different school in Greensboro, but you can still trust me on this one: GUILFORD, pronounced GILL FURD.
I am not the best when it comes to pronunciations..... or maybe just pretend I had a loaf of bread in my mouth when I was talking.
There has only been one school he coached at to have a Heisman trophy winner. Auburn with Pat Sullivan an, Bo Jackson, and Can Newton.
Heisman also coached at Georgia and Georgia tech correct me if I am mistaken
That was pretty sic when Lawrence Taylor snapped his femur
Who says it's the most famous trophy? Only the USA. Think the football World Cup might be more famous.
The World Cup is named "John Heisman"?
I don't think so
Correct. It's named Bob.
BOOKtl
Most Famous Trophy in Sports?? Doubtful claim - at best. Most ancient? Even that is dubious.
Stanley Cup. Hands down, the most beautiful, historical and famous trophy in sports.
