- Introducing a new member to the Budgie family brought joy and responsibility, but soon, the excitement turned to concern as I noticed distressing signs in the hand-tamed female budgie. After careful observation and realization of the egg-binding issue, immediate action was taken to ensure the well-being and health of my new budgie flock member.

Iv got budgie as a present he eating all day puffed up I took him to vet giving him anti biotics they not helped the vet said crop flush but he may die I'm not sure about this now he's eating all day but he's not happy I have another budgie who is fine they were bought together I'm not sure what 2 do now
My lovebird has a bad egg laying habit. I try everything but she still does it... She had to get the hormone treatment and an egg removed. Still worried but giving her extra calcium when she's acting different and so far no more eggs... Birds are worth it

My worst fear as the owner of a two female budgies, that I won't have enough time to get either of them to the wet, and won't be able to safely remove the egg without damaging her internal organs. I remember how before we got the second one, the first would often rub her head around her toys, craving physical contact, and then seeing (rather graphic) videos of people pushing eggs out of their budgies. Hope it never happens to them

Hey alen my rainbow lorikeet randomly laid an egg without a male and i was freaking out. But my rainbow lorikeet manage to lay the egg. After a 2 days, she laid another egg. Can u tell me what i should do
it's not uncommon for female birds, including rainbow lorikeets, to lay eggs without the presence of a male. These eggs will be unfertilized and won't develop into chicks. Same as my new budgie.
Ok thanks for your opinion. I wouldn't even have birds in the first place but when i watched your videos i got one. 1 rainbow lorikeet, 3 cockatiels, and 2 budgies. The budgies and cockatiels are about 3 to 4 years old now and the rainbow lorikeet is 3 years now@@alenaxp

“Chucho” is a male nickname in Spanish, while “Chucha” with “a” is a female nickname. Typically in the Spanish language, the “o” refers to males only, while the “a” is females only. I just wanted to clarify that.

I thought my budgie Jaki was egg bound & when I had taken her to the vet, it turned out she had a big tumor, so my vet & I decided to end her suffering.
