That’s what Nigerian-American former linebacker Emmanuel Chinedum Acho has to say about Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. Simply put, he sees Sydney as someone younger athletes should look up to. And Sydney has proven that herself time and time again.
She had rewritten history books several times in the sport. Suffice it to say that #sydneymclaughlin has cemented her name in the track and field. In fact, many are inclined to think that McLaughlin was perhaps born to be an athlete.
Even at the very young age of 16, Sydney competed at Rio 2016, having qualified third in the US national trials. She eventually finished 16th overall, being eliminated in the semi-finals. At the time, her age caught the headlines: McLaughlin was the youngest athlete to qualify for the USA #trackandfield team since 1980.
While she wasn’t expected to medal at such a young age, athletics fans still believed they saw a star in the making. And so they weren’t at all surprised when a few years later at the 2019 #worldathletics Championships in Doha, the young American won silver in the 400m hurdles.

Jealousy can consist of one or more emotions such as anger, resentment, inadequacy, helplessness or disgust. Some people lack the character to appreciate the accomplishments of others. But most well balanced people greatly respect the the role models that help shape the world in a positive way. Sydney, continue to be your authentic self and set new records ! 😀💘🏃‍♀
Ignore the haters ! 😠 Eventually they may come around. 🤔

True, I am amazed at these Euro's who think Bol is the second coming and yet Sydney has 2 times faster than Bol has ever run in the 400m H.

ok, injurie(s). But why wasn't she at the last major chamionship? Afraid of Femke Bol? Afraid to fall off the pedestal?

She was recovering from a knee injury, that's why she wasn't in Budapest. She would have run the open 400m. Sydney and Bol wouldn't have run against each other in Budapest anyway unless they met in a relay and even then the USA would have been ahead of the Netherlands. You Euro's amaze me with your trash talk when your Femke Bol has never even beaten McLaughlin, nor has Bol beat Sydney's best times. If I were you, I would keep my mouth shut until Bol becomes the world Record holder in the 400m H.
