    I would have never know that Fluent Forms had its own widget. I was so lost that I was using CSS Hero to Style the form. Wowwww!!! Thank you for mentioning that on this video. I was lost.

    Great video. You answered questions that many form builders support staff and hours of searching were unable to resolve: how to get data out of a form. Such an obvious need that mystified so many people: they offer their reports or an export function. I wanted a dynamic link to fdata elements for use within Wordpress without having to learn PHP. You did just a brilliant job explaining this. Many thanks. I'm now off to buy Fluent Forms.

    "Drinking from a fire hose." comes to mind. Great video. I had not previously seen a use case that applied to my own sites. Thanks

      @@dave-swift Old eyes I guess. I was so pleased to see instructions I could actually use I never noticed anything about video quality. It's one of those videos I will have to play over and over to get my head around everything.

    Mindblown, I really should dig deeper into FF! So much potential, I'll have to dig into how this works with BuddyBoss/Press. Thanks for the video, and the use-cases. I've not played with ACF before, so I'll definitely have to check this all out.

    I use FF Pro, but as a form builder, is not so performant as you might think.
    There are a lot of features that are not "Available at the moment", features that are easy to create and use with CF7.
    As for user creation form, that can only be used TO REGISTER but NOT to add a user if you are administrator which is a huge minus (maybe just in my case).
    Is great to use it for posts / custom post creation, but that feature should have a EDIT option too (without going to the backend to do it), as I saw in their Post Creation -> Post feed, they have an option for Submission Type: New Post / Update post. I cant figure out what that "Update Post" option is for.

    Love this!
    Question: how would you allow logged in users to edit their previously submitted reviews??? (without editing anyone else's?)

    • @dave-swift

      Ah, that’s not something possible with this tool. You can do it with Toolset however! Check it out, it’s a great plugin. I should make a tutorial for it. Here is my affiliate link: get.profitable.tools/toolset

    Thank you for this very useful video.
    Could you possibly do a version of the tutorial for websites that use Divi instead of Elementor?
    I see that what you have done here can be adapted but it will be helpful and much appreciated if you have a video that is specifically for Divi builder just as you have for Elementor.

    Hi again, My form has a "form validation" field that says: Do not submit the form if user already exist in database. Does this mean if I uncheck it and the user fills out the form again it creates a second page all over again? Checking it means only one submission per user? Am I understanding that correctly?

    Thanks. So you can create a post with Fluent Form Pro, but can you show us how to edit a post? Also, only ACF's and FFP's text-related fields show up in the ACF mapping, what should I do? Thanks a lot!

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Onyx, you just edit the post with the WordPress editor as normal :)
      Yes, FF only supports custom fields from ACF right now.

    • @OnyxLee

      @@dave-swift Thanks for your quick reply. So does that mean users can create content at the front end, but they can't edit the content from the front end, either admin or users have to go to the wp-admin to do that?
      As to FF support, does that mean FF only supports ACF's *text* related fields? Image, gallery, files, taxonomy are all not supported?
      Thanks again.

    4:13 "so I can't use any of the templates if I create a custom post type so I'll just make one from scratch." (re Fluent Forms and Custom Post Type) Does this mean that you can't create a custom post type that accepts payments?

    Nice video ! What is the point about creating a new user ? Can he modify the content later ? Or it's just to get his mail ?

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Good question -- In this scenario it was primarily to demonstrate the feature.
      It isn't necessary but I do like to have users create a login when generating content so that there is accountability and as you mentioned if you set their user role correctly, they can login and modify their own content .

    • @youyoufilm
      @youyoufilm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dave-swift ok great. So no need for a extra plugin to let the user makes some modification of the review, just the right role. I'll check this more in depth. Thanks for the quick reply and keep your good work !

    • @dave-swift
      @dave-swift  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1
