- The Lateral Lunge Driver Drill is the easiest way to train your brain to move through the ball in a fashion that resembles what pros do.

The moment of truth in the golf swing is impact so it makes sense to do drills that help you feel it and practice it!
Brilliant!
Love the book
Read it every day!
I can't believe I made it through this entire video...
This is a demonstration of a zero pelvic, early extension swing which Ryan Palmer does and many of the LPGA players do too.
What I love about this drill is that it cannot be done without LAG. If you are capable of doing this than you'll feel "pro" lag.
I did the "squat" drill and it promoted great solid center hit.
More like Moe Norman than David Lee.
The "Lunge" in your system looks similar to Moe Norman's move toward the ball in his swing. I think he said he really didn't need any body rotation. If you are familiar with Moe how is your Lunge different from his swing? I like your videos. Thanks
I wrote a detailed appendix in The Amateur Golfer's Dilemma about Moe Norman's Daytona Beach friends, which included Craig Shankland who talked to Moe while he hit balls. The LLDD was inspired by Moe and other pros who have similar moves through the ball. Since I cannot swing like them, and get there during the swing as well as I would like, I decided to assume the position at setup to train my brain to learn how to do it.
I've been working on the dynamic LLDD. It is very similar to a swing that I "invented" last summer that gave me very consistent contact and straight shots. However, both the dynamic LLDD and my "invented" swing cause pain in my superior trapezius on the trail side, where the side of my neck intersects with my shoulder line. Can you suggest a modification that might eliminate or reduce this pain? Thank you!
Hard to say perhaps your are going at it too hard. The LLDD is more about the legs than the upper body, so perhaps going it at less aggressively. Try to swing as soft as possible when doing it such that the ball flies only 150-ish.
