Best wishes for those opening their college decisions soon! Just please remember that it's your mindset that's going to carry you forward in life. Always strive to improve yourself - don't peak in high school!
Dude I'm an MD and PhD student at Stanford and I can attest to this. I don't even wanna say what I did before cus it doesn't matter. Work with what you got and keep pushing. Let's just say for the sake of it that it wasn't even a top 100 school and literally nobody cares anyway. If you're hard working, a tiny bit lucky, and use your time wisely it will all work out
Thanks :) I'm surprised at how mature your thinking is already. People tend to have the ivies etc as the goal which oftentimes doesn't happen and then people just get disappointed which is unfortunate
I'm by no means an expert but if I were to give 1 piece of advice to anyone it would probably just be to work hard lol. For example, it's so easy to get distracted by one's phone and if someone coubted how many hours they spend on their phone every day it adds up. Now imagine using that time on classes, a standardized test, research, building connections etc instead and it would probably have been better spent. I'm just rambling but hard work was my personal key to success and is what drives me personally. Everyone's different tho
Yeah, trust me I used to think just like that when I was in high school, but after getting to Stanford I’ve realized that line of thinking is misleading. Hopefully I can get that message across to my viewers as well!
