I haven't cried yet but I have been in a deep depression since the news broke, but I wasn't surprised at all I said several months ago when Biden was still in the running that Trump was going to win. And when Biden quit and Kamala took over I tried to keep the very little hope I could muster, but still in the back of my mind I still felt Trump was going to win because I couldn't ignore the history of this country or his past and current cruel behavior. Now I'm so hurt and scared and people are telling me to not worry and have faith, but I can't help but worry because I know the ugliness of this country and it's NEVER been fair or great for people of color, poor people, disabled people. When I win I say thank you God because I am grateful, because I am a dark skin daughter of Nature, when people in power win and it has potential repercussions for other people at the lower ladder I must be able to say more than it is in God's hands, because until the pendulum decides to swing so much harm is happening.
