I rarely ever comment on YT videos, but I really like what you did here. I started a Vanilla Survival game for myself in Spring with a Charisma build. I took some time off until recently and in order to help Tenpines Bluff I had to go and clear out Jamaica Plain last night. I forgot how fun it was searching the area for ghouls. But since I have a Charisma build, my focus has been on making a Network of Settlements. My strategy for Survival was to have lots of storage space, different kinds of farms, stores, supply lines, and of course safe places to sleep. I recently moved all the workshop junk from certain settlements to turn them into Scavenging Station farms; as the cap for junk is 100 + (# of Settlers * 5) I think. Anyhow, even though I am going Vanilla for this entire run, you gave me some ideas. I really like what you did with the shooting range. Is that a Mod? I have never seen that except at POIs with Super Mutants. The Coffee Shop is simply superb as is the little area above where you said you would have put a green house. I wish I made a Master Bedroom that looked like yours. Definitely classier than the rest of JP, but cozy places like that are hard to come by in the Wasteland. So definitely loved the vibes in that room. Only thing that is missing from that swanky bedroom was some fine clothing set out. I like the look of the outfits in the game as they are folded neatly. And maybe with all that bed space, one would think a bit of partying goes on in there haha. Also good job with the mutfruits with planters and also the neat wiring. I subbed. I'll keep an eye out for more of your builds; I am basically achievement hunting on Steam as well as on Survival, so trying to stay Vanilla as long as possible. I feel like Survival won't be challenging if I mod and plus after the update, modding sort of scares me. Have you had any difficulty with the game since adding mods this time around?
Thank you I really appreciate the sub as I am trying to grow the channel but it can be challenging. Every follow and like helps. The shooting range is Creation Club content from Settlement Ambush kit so you do have to purchase the kit but it has a few cool things. Mostly I use the security cameras and screens, the improved watchtower has 6 defense, the shooting range and a bunch more security fencing. As far as difficulty using mods, It does suck that I can't get achievements or trophies, The game always crashed so I don't notice it crashing any more often than usual. The SimpleWeather mod which makes the trees nice and full and the Coastal waves mod does mess with the scrap that mod in that it will bring back weeds or rocks that you have scrapped in the past and can no longer scrap, I don't use any mods that would help with combat so gameplay is mostly the same. I play on Playstation5 but my list of mods is in the description and I think they work on pc as well. If you like settlement building you will love it so much more with mods.It just gives everything a more full and realistic feel. Happy Gaming!!
@@OmegaMan2112 I decided today I am going to move the settlers I sent to JP to another Settlement. I need to have some Settlements EMPTY so they don't get raided. I can store all of the junk here; I have some places I treat as a HUB with no one so it doesn't get raided. Plus, think of all of the Fiber Optics, Steel, and Crystal you get from the Basement. You get exactly 49 of each and the lasers can be reset with a press of a button. It's very convenient if you're short on Steel especially and don't want to spend 900 on 250 Steel lol. Also good news about the Workshop content. I only have a few things off of there but the main thing I use is the CR-74L. I may have a Charisma build but currently using Rank 4 Commando as my main damage source; wanted a sick looking automatic rifle that wouldn't be cheating. If you haven't tried it yet, it's actually a very decent gun that uses .45 ammo. If you want something different from a Combat Rifle or Makeshift Rifle, with a futuristc yet rustic look, it is worth checking out. I'll definitely consider getting that workshop mod regardless of cost. I just think I need to move my focus from settlements to DLC. I don't want to be interrupted everyday to Defend. Also I STILL have not released Preston Garvey. I am considering doing the Raider DLC before I let him out. I have owned two copies of the game since release and to this day I have yet to start and finish that DLC. Best of luck on your channel! Eventually I'll maybe stream little tours of my areas when I am done. You know part of the hustle is locating junk and building mats. Steadily amassing my wealth before I fully invest in my settlements. Having so many is going to spread me thin, so I am moving people around atm. I need a defense basically of atleast 100 - # of Settlers. So if it's 13 people, I need 13 water and food, and 87 defense. Geez.. So trying to locate Oil and Steel quickly to build an army of shotgun turrets/laser turrets. (I have loads of circuitry stocked up.) I saw on one of your vids you said you're still pretty new. If you haven't played Survival yet, should give it a chance one day when you feel confident. Just bare in mind, that even with no mods, I get random crashes too at times and if I haven't slept & saved in 90 minutes, I just lost 90 minutes of my progress. So, remember to sleep often. Exit saves get deleted the moment you load them so if you venture far out and you haven't slept close to before your Exit Save, it will set you back sadly even if there is a crash. There is no auto-save feature unless you interact with a bed. I like this channel is new; perhaps that is why I don't comment on other videos. There is always so much going on. I appreciate seeing a new-ish player become familiar with the build mechanics in the game which I know can be very janky. Keep up the great work.
No shame using vanilla assets to fix buildings, cover the holes, I love to see other peoples work in their world. I have about 200 mods so I can make the vanilla buildings piece by piece, help repairing with the same set too. Snappy has all that. But I use a PC and have Tinkered for 8 years at it. Good Work.
I do rather enjoy developing settlements, this gave me a lot of inspo! I’ll be sure to check if you’ve done any other builds, you’ve done well! :)
Not an easy spot to build, but you did great. Looks like it fits right into the game
thank you, I appreciate it

Thank you, I appreciate it. I have been meaning to try Snappy.
Where do you get bunk beds? is that a DLC or mod?
It's from Creation Club Home Decor Pack. In my opinion the best add on to the game.
Creative Clutter Has some very nice bed variations free on nexusmods. For PC that is.
