    One of the first times I was there in the mid 80's, there was a guy working at the museum as a guide that worked directly for Edison when he was a kid. Crazy.

    Have been away from your channel since you moved from Hollywood. Didn't know you have a very beautiful significant other, nice, happy for you and prayers that it's a fruitful union. Awesome short tour, I worked with an aerospace engineering company for 37 years and built many types of electric motors so this tour was spot on for me.

    The museum was great. That wooden sculpture was incredible. I loved the lab as well. Katie brought up a good point about so many breakable and delicate things that have survived. It would be fantastic to go back in time and see this lab fully functional with all the staff working in here on different projects. Great video. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵

    Right about the time you were here, I was at his factory in Menlo Park, NJ. Edison was deaf since boyhood from a time he was running next to a train, trying to grab hold and jump on. A man leaned over and grabbed him by the ears, trying to pull him aboard. Edison heard a soft "click" in his head and was largely deaf from that point. He said it gave him room to concentrate and think when working on something.

    @Daze with Jordan the Lion
    I'm a new subscriber, and I have to say I love your channel. It is a breath of fresh air with no drama, lol. My favorite playlist is anything about Hollywood! I love the history of the Golden Age of Hollywood. I'm fascinated with the history, stars, and scandals. I would like to visit once when I have enough saved up. Along with my fascination in Hollywood, I'm also interested in film noir and punk rock. If possible, may you please do a series of real-life locations mentioned in Raymond Chandler novels, locations of film noir filming locations associated with Sunset Blvd, Double Ideminty, and LA Confidential. Also, locations that were associated with punk rock, like the infamous club in Huntington Beach. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the amazing content.
    Always your friend
    Tony J

    We here in Louisville Kentucky has a Thomas Edison's historic home, it's put into a museum like in the 80 or 90s he was here back years ago was working for awhile then he was fired. In old Louisville they had the first electric lights to be put on for display. 💡it was Thomas Edison's ideal for fair show.

    I love Ft Myers ❤ My Sis and I toured the homes and the rubber laboratory also. I wanted to make a couple of additions, The Goldenrod was what they derived the rubber from. They took those trips to collect plant species that they may be able to make rubber from. Why was rubber so important? It was in shortage because it was being used in the War effort. All the latex rubber was in short supply, hence the reason for finding another source.
