With North Korean missiles landing close to Japan’s shores, relations between the two countries are colder than ever", says Steve Chao, senior Asia correspondent for Al Jazeera. As tensions build, Japanese citizens have been driven to building bomb shelters or participating in evacuation drills. "When Donald Trump was elected American President I started to worry that North Korea and the USA would start fighting and go to war. I started researching, found parts from Switzerland, and started building in January 2017", explains Katsuyoshi Horiguchi, who built a shelter behind his daughter's house. Professor Tomohiko Taniguchi, the Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor, recalls that "unlike other nuclear powers, [North Korea] say that they are willing to use the weapon and I think that shocked a lot of people.

I have never heard about the Koreans that live in Japan or how they had gotten there before. This was a very informative video for me. Let us not forget about The Berlin Wall and how we learned the people behind it were mostly just like the rest of the world just trying to live and get by.

Actually no. These people have every right to preserve their heritage considering the atrocities Japan has done to them during the Japanese occupation in Korea. I say this as a Japanese living in Japan. Maybe read a fucking history book at some point before making assumptions about these people.

They really want their pie and eat it huh? TBH North Korea did provide the Korean-Japanese with financial aid, which South Korea could not provide due to economic and political difficulties. If the Chongryon organisation really want to get better treatment by the Japanese, forming closer ties to South Korea would be key, not North Korea, and Japan has every right to be suspicious due to North Korea's temperamental nature, and the fact that kidnappings of ethnic Japanese have already happened, creating paranoia. And I'm sure South Korea wouldn't leave them in the lurch if they changed their allegiance from North Korea, the South has helped defectors from North Korea, helping the Chongryon-affilated Koreans wouldn't be a problem.

Many non-whites would rather live in white run countries than in their own countries. Whether we like it or not, the whites still are great nation builders and are great inventors. The democrats are the party with deep ties to Jim Crow and the KKK. I am no fan of the democrats.
*Jim Crow laws were state and local laws that enforced racial segregation in the Southern United States. Enacted by white Democratic-dominated state legislatures in the late 19th century after the Reconstruction period, these laws continued to be enforced until 1965.*

In the first place, 3rd or 4th Korean generations must choose naturalization to Japanese even for what they were born and raised in Japan as 3rd or 4th generation in Japan. They like Japanese water and air of Japan. When they went to Korea, they are shocked for Korean custom and tradition. They feel living of Japan is better than Korea.

You should feel and know that there is a lot of discrimination from Japanese people involved in why they want to live in Japan as Koreans. Thanks to Kpop, superficial discrimination has recently disappeared, but discrimination against Koreans has not yet disappeared.
