'14 M235i -- DONE! After under 10 minutes of saturation with blue paper shop towels, both labels came off by just kneading with my thumbs along the short width. Clean-up with more alcohol pretty much got the adhesive traces removed, and "Trim Restorer" product finished it off. THANK YOU, AGAIN, Fritz!!
I have Alcantara visors in my X5. I left the visors attached and put the wet alcohol paper towel on the sticker and let it sit for about 30 minutes. The sticker was noticeably wrinkly and I was easily able to scratch it off with my finger. Definitely worth doing and it looks so much better now.
Hi, any tips how to remove it on a cloth sun visit? I tried heating it with small iron and it took most of but there still a little glue left there. That was the inside and now i want to remove the outside one but i would like a better result there😅
Carb cleaner will take them off with around 10 seconds of soaking. Just spray, wait 10 seconds, and start to wipe away from the edge of the sticker with a paper towel. Carb cleaner is very harsh so make sure to test in an inconspicuous area first.
I used this method on my 2011 Cayman with very good results. Stickers came off easily. I also used it on my 2024 Cayman with poor results. The stickers on the 2024 Cayman were much different. Much harder to remove. It took more than an hour with constant use of the brush and more than half a bottle of 91% alcohol. Had I known how difficult and messy it would be, I would not have done it on the newer Cayman.
Could it be the adhesive is still relatively new and hasn't been worn down by heat and uv exposure? I'm thinking that's what might make older stickers easier to remove. Thank you for sharing that.
Thanks for the tutorial! The alcohol worked great, was able to remove the entire label in one piece. Some stubborn residual glue on the driver-side visor, my wife's 100% acetone nail polish remover worked well. (Be sure to test in an inconspicuous spot first.)
What do you mean by 'Euro Spec? I'm British and my BMW JCW was made in England and it has these stickers on 'both sides' of the passenger visor. There isn't any on the drivers visor though (RHD).
The fake leather on the visor came loose and became very wrinkly so dont let the acetone tissue sit for 5-10min. On the other side i just used a brush with some acetone and it came off perfectly without damage. So be careful

This is a great video! I just tried this on my 435 and it worked flawlessly! Its 10x cheaper than buying the IND euro spec visors

You used acetone instead of alcohol
@@markmorelli4268 Just to remove residual glue. I would use alcohol to soak off the label.
Good Job Ramos...hate those labels
Thank you! They are definitely an eye sore

In europe we also have these sticker but only on passenger side
passenger
Looks good! I"ll try it on my M235i as well!
Let me know how it goes
Oh, this advice is getting used! Thanks. 🙏🏾
No problem. Glad it was helpful
I'm all over Euro Spec. Thanks Fritz
You don't say lol. No problem.
Brilliant, thanks Fritz! I was "this close" to buying new visors. Will let you know if/how well this works on alcantara.
Awesome! Looking forward to it
Yo bro tell me did it??? I have an m8 i need to do this
@@voosum Actually never got around to it. Guess they don't bother me as much as I thought!
Yeah definitely have to do this for sure 💯
Your interior is going to look even more 🔥

Acetone is a very corrosive solvent and the prime ingredient in paint stripper, Isopropyl is much less. OP advised alcohol not acetone
Who said to use acetone? No wonder that happened. I'm surprised it didn't just melt it.
What about M8s Alcantara?
It worked great on my X5 Alcantara.
Goof off works better than alcohol for removing that type of adhesive
THX A LOT !!! 👏♥️
You misspelled euro in the title .. it should have read “how to do your own sun visors”. Not how to do euro sun visors ..
Eur funny
You young pups. Ya'll never heard of a hair dryer?
