This is my usual answer as well, drive rush after drive rush for backdash reads. Saw Snake Eyez do it too, but there might be some variables I might not be considering very thoroughly. Still, it works most of the time.
@@PlatXavi yeah I got it from snake eyez too lol. If they jump after the drive rush you react with lariat and if they back dash I believe you can hit crhk. I’ve never had anyone forward jump me on this yet

Those times you can actually get a safejump with Gief then blow up all their mashing with 6HP frametrap is Gief's best answer to backdash haha.

Deal with backdashes and jumpbacks sometimes just let them.....makes them closer to the wall or gives u breathing room so they cant go aggro on you
If I know my opponent is gonna back dash expecting me to spd, I drive rush then spd. They can jump it of course but I like it as a mix up

Any tips for playing on a hitbox with Gief specifically? I love playing him on stick, but I find it's difficult to churn that butter on leverless.
The 720, to my understanding, has no real quick input or help on leverless. It's damn difficult to do.

It's all about positioning. Ideally, you want to catch jump frames. Close forward jumps are a pain with this guy.
