What I love about this video is that its so relatable. It isn't the Rolex's, the Patek's, the Audemar's that sometimes feel hard to attain.... and this video shows that there are other beautiful brands out there. I have been collecting watches since I was a teenager in the 1970s. My dad used to wear an Omega Seamaster, but I could only afford Seikos (of which I own quite a selection, some having become quite valuable over the years). I never sell any watches as I can attach special moments and memories to all my watches… which brings me back to Omega. I have been hunting for ages to find the original 1995 Bond “Golden Eye” Seamaster with a quartz movement (Reference 2541.80.00), which used to be available for a song on the used market. This year, for my 63rd birthday, I was very fortunate to find “my” Omega (completely original with all papers and box), which my son helped secure for me. Of course, prices have rocketed on these watches, so it is no longer in my “affordable” bracket. Nonetheless, it is a grail watch that I will cherish for the rest of my days.
Thank you! Unfortunately, Timex are pulling a MoonSwatch with their Waterbury AND Q chronos being constantly unavailable. Their “back in stock” emailing doesn’t work either, so it takes perseverance and/or good luck to source one of the watches. Speaking of this particular piece, you may find my review of it on the channel. Also, not only the bracelet, but the bezel of the Revelot shines like crazy!

Certina are one of the most underrated watch brands which makes getting great deals very likely. I am not sure which one of their models you're reffering to, but the blue DS Action Day-Date is on my wishlist for a long time. Since you mentioned Certina, go take a look at my paisano Andrei's work at Brave Beaters, if you haven't already. Thank you! I agree the Rotary’s style might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if one digs this shape, then the watch is great value. Tastes change, anyway - I initially couldn’t stand aviation watches, but now they’re my favourites.
The Sugess fits your wrist perfectly. I think you would not be happy with 40mm one. Old watches used to be small. Keep in mind, that oversized watches are not comfortable to wear, therefore 38mm is tip-top. 👍 The flieger must be big, it is a nature of the kind. The Alpina is too big IMHO to your wrist.
Thank you for commenting! You might be right and I could be somewhat biased toward 40+. After trying on 37s, though, I still believe 38 is the smallest diameter I can pull off and you’re right, the Sugess has definitive vintage vibes I believe I completed with the milanese.
I don’t think the 38mm chrono is too small at all for you. It’s a retro looking watch which might look weird oversized. 38mm was a very big watch back in the day!
You might be right, I just wish I could try the 40 mm on, but, with the benefit of being able to find and buy things from a different corner of the world, the internet comes with the inconvenience of having to buy based solely on reviews.
Such a solid collection. I love the helm komodo and am on a long waitlist. I got small 6.2 inch arms and i dont know if i can pull that off but maybe i will. I hope to some day have a one watch collection and i hope to get a seiko speedtimer the new model 911. This will be the watch for me. I might as well start saving for that one watch but i dont know. We as watch collectors just love the watches for one reason or the other.

Too many videos show some guy trying to cut open some fedex anvelope while trying to find the words to express their thoughts. Videos should be informative, not a waste of the viewer’s time.

I tell you what, though: with my 50th birthday next year, I’ve started taking a good look at a couple of grails.
