I have a keratin treatment but it never damaged my natural hair. My hair was stronger and so much easier to detangle. I love it.
I’m glad to hear it!!
Your hair probably needed some keratin, when you don't and over feed your hair then it can be damaging
Does it still curl?
@@kimberlinalea1644 Yup, exactly the same as before. It just made my hair smoother
Please what is the product
Would really appreciate it if you can have your clients do a 6 month update.
I will try and update some of these
as an old stylist laid my shears down long ago i use to tell my clients your hair tell a story about you . hair is more than just hair .with persistence training the hair to stay beautiful even on your worse days .blessings
So absolutely true! Thank you for watching ❤
Big difference in the before and after you did a great job I love her hair
African hair is very ugly
You are so knowledgeable and give great advice. Beautiful job!
Thank you so much!
I would not recommend low porosity hair types to get this treatment: “Because low porosity hair already has more protein than it needs, treating it with keratin can have a devastating outcome. So, even though keratin is a refreshingly non-formaldehyde product, it's not ideal for everyone. In contrast, people with high porosity hair require keratin treatments for optimal hair health.”
What about taking keratin supplements

Even if it’s just one time ?
They jus did a study this is causing cancer in women
@@Sayski1900 everything causes cancer. They won’t care, long as they hair looks good
Lovely work would love to see a maintenance video after a month or so of doing the keratin
Now I’m thinking about a keratin treatment 🙃Great job!
So beautiful! I seriously want this treatment but I don’t even know how to begin to find a trusted stylist to do it. I know that all hair types get keratin treatments, I’d prefer someone who is knowledgeable and used to working with tight curls like yourself! I think I’ll just save and fly to your salon! Thank you so much for posting ❤️
Thank you. I’m in Sewell NJ hit me up?
Where is this salon?
@@sevenzenhair67 I’m next in line fr. I’m soooo hesitant to have someone in my hair after doing my own for my whole natural hair journey. It’s been almost 6 years since I’ve been to the salon and the only time I went was for relaxers and styling. Now I have to find a natural stylist and that’s even harder I feel 😭
Where do you live hun? Uk?
@@sevenzenhair67 omg no way it's crazy how close you are, I don't live in NJ anymore but I live around there
I love it. And it appears not jeopardize the texture or thickness of the hair

Thank you!
@@sevenzenhair67 You’re Welcome ♥️
Her hair came out beautiful 😍💕😊
Her hair looks lovely totally different from when she came in lovely 🥰 😍
thank you
I have 3c/4a hair and i have a keratin treatment, but i don’t flat iron my hair with the product in it, i rinse it all the way out and flat iron my hair as normal, not a bunch of passes on my hair at high heat. I still have my natural curls…i just don’t have any frizz so my hair appears looser. Keratin doesn’t have to permanently straighten your hair. I blow my hair out 6-10 times a year, maybe flatiron like 3-4 times and I still have a curl pattern. My hair is thick, long and smooth it’s not a relaxer, but yes over time you can relax the curl. Still not a relaxer, lol. I have a homegirl who does the treatment exactly as this video, and flat irons her butt length hair every week…she literally has nearly straight natural hair, she’s been doing it over a decade and at this point her hair is frizz free from the keratin, but it’s straight bc she styles it that way exclusively and it’s easier to style bc it has keratin in it.
@@k0bb yea for me it was just a sleeker blow out...when i washed my hair my curls looked the same as always.
Thank you for this bc I was really confused
Can u do a tutorial?
Do you also have any information regarding what people say it can cause cancer?
Does she have a channel?
Keratin treatment caused me to lose alot of hair. My hair was beautiful and thick just as the client in this video before the stylist applied a keratin treatment.
Hello, I'm thinking of getting a Keratin treatment. Can you tell me how you lost hair? I thought it's purpose was length retention and straightening.
I have dyed my hair so many times, due to that my hair was damaged. But I just got this treatment a week ago, and it has been one of the best things I have ever done. Now I don’t have to try to find products to make my hair less frizzy and more softer.
Thanks to this my hair is soft and I don’t have the same problems as before.
That's awesome. I always say there no in between with it. People either love it or hate it lol
Which brand did you use please
You did what the client asked. Dunno what's wrong with people in the comments. Anyway, I've never had a keratin treatment. If I want to keep my hair freeze free I use elvive keratin straight oil replacement leave in and wet set it in a drier before flat ironing it. My hair doesn't revert even if it gets a little wet. It stays straight and freeze free until I wash it.
Hello, can you please describe the bottle? I can't seem to find it by searching the name provided. Thank you for your time.
this is beautiful. I enjoyed watching this and seeing how gentle you were with her hair in the process.
Thank you for watching ❤️
Great job you are a bomb stylist, but I like how you got the hair in the back hanging on the wall hunny that made my day!🤣🤣🤣😊😂
Lol
You did a fabulous job! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
thank you
No she did not she passed that flat iron over that lady head 4 to 5 times not including hitting the roots 3 times first. Excessive heat leads to heat damage
Wow love the result.
I really wanna get my hair done too.
Your voice so calm n the video well detailed.
Thanks
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
Fabulous, I've transitioned to natural and this will really help me to cope after so many years relaxed. Thanks 👍 😊 ❤
It's still a chemical process
@@sistookey so is dying hair and people still do it.

Hi 👋🏾 my Friend once again you have did an amazing job!Your client's hair is gorgeous 😍!!!!Love how you shaped her hair as well it made her hair look so healthy 💞💆🏽♀️💇🏽♀️💯

Ooh! Go buy a Keratin Post treatment kit! Afro and Asian girls, the Keratin kit transformed my dry, dye-ravaged thick 4c Afro bushy hair! With Keratin treatment my hair was silky soft, at least 90% LESS hair shedding, tonged better and less hard! I kept stroking my hair! Just used a henna mix of Vataki RICH BLACK Henna and Indigo henna to dye my very grey, resistant roots ( all henna, just all BLACK HENNA) and hair black. Then I'm adding the Keratin Post treatment kit to add softness, restore hair strength and volume! Uk 🇬🇧
Do you have high or low porosity?
Did you also get a keratin treatment?
Love the style her hair looks like mine 🥰
BEAUTIFUL OUTCOME❤️
I’m a bald male with zero need for this but I’m glad my algorithm got me new asmr material lol I’d pay to just sit there and you act like I got this treatment 😂
lol, thanks for making my day!
I can see why women give up taking care of their natural hair. After looking at this video, it's a lot of work. I think if more women went to salons to have their hair taken care of, it would be easier to maintain at home. It needs a lot of care to keep it moisturized, conditioned etc. It's hard not seeing the back of your head, you need help
plus your arms get very tired. For real.
Not that many hair salons know about natural hair and if they do, charge extortionate prices.
This is a keratin treatment. The same amount of steps have to be used on any head of hair regardless of race. This is a treatment.
Our natural hair is not a lot of work.
It's not a lot of work..And another channel.just showed Kerstin damage..
@@decodesigns14 it is for me
@@g0thicc39 lol me too and I’ve been natural for ten years now 😊
Thanks so much, I’m natural however it’s so difficult to comb through after working out, I’ve been thinking about a keratin treatment to manage my hair but I didn’t want to go straight this helps alot
Your welcome. Let me know if you try it.
Turned out beautiful. I was cringing a little bit with the multiple passes with the flat iron. But overall, beautiful
I know that’s the only thing I hate but it really doesn’t cause damage tho. You won’t have to use that much heat after the treatment is done.
Loved how you shared the process and l9v3d the process even more
I have a keratin treatment that I apply myself and never have had a problem. My hair is super fine. I find that after rinsing the shampoo out of washing my hair I can actually put a tablespoon of aloe vera gel and my hair is detanged and ready for the keratin smoothing. This treatment is not as delicate as some seem to think. I have 4a/3c hair and keratin smoothing treatment works like magic. I then use a flat at 350°. I love it!
Wow that’s awesome ! Which one do you use ?
How do u apply keratin treatment kn your hair youtself can you drop steps fir me pls
Happy New Year Daira , a great upgrade do.
I’m gonna be giving this a try as the only thing I haven’t tried in my head
Let me know if you try it
Beautiful work!
Oh, wow, her hair is SO thick! I’m really envious, mine is very fine and that has a pile of its own problems
I love keratin treatments to getting the done for about 2 years. The indentations it's real I've had it happen. You really have to leave your hair alone for the first 3 days. Express treatments cost less don't hold his mom but they are more affordable and you don't have to babysit your hair for an entire three days.
Keratin is really good, for the hair.
Client hair is beautiful before and after
Big difference. Looks lovely
I have 4C hair. The last time I got a keratin treatment was five years ago... I miss it so bad but I'm still in Korea. 😖
Looks wonderful ❤
Excellent explanation. Thanks.
so relaxing and interesting to watch ❤
Too beautiful!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve been on the fence recently about getting a keratin treatment especially after my coworker told me her experience with getting one. And when you said you recommend this treatment instead of perm I was instantly sold on it! I’m going book my local salon soon probably for the fall!💞
There are a few people who don't like it or feel like it's not a strong enough option for them and they end up going for the relaxer. I like this better though because sometimes people are just looking for a little relief or for their hair to be more manageable so this is perfect. Plus if you don't like it eventually it wears off. With a relaxer as we know you'll have to cut it out.
@@sevenzenhair67 yes I feel like this is the perfect option for me! I just need something that would make my thick hair much more manageable without going completely bone straight
@@Theregoesbre ok so then yes this is a good option.
I would definitely recommend it as a perm alternative as a cosmetology student. Perms are pretty harsh and are obviously going to destroy your curl pattern. This will increase manageability without taking too much of your natural curl out.
Love her hair looks silky
Such thick hair. Nice.
Happy New Year's! It looks very nice what a difference. She has that thick knotted hair real coarse! I think the thicker the better...but no matter how thick, medium or thin deep conditioners are a must!!😊😊😊
Happy new year!! I agree!!
@@sevenzenhair67 ☺❤
fantastic results.
Thank you!
1.can you get both a keratin treatment and the a relaxer or one or the other.?
2.can you deep condition after a week or three days of keratin treatment. how often?
3.what is the best way to maintain Keratin treatment?
4.would you recommend relaxer or keratin?
5.Could you deep condition with a relaxer after a week?
thank you
You do not want to use a relaxer after the keratin. It will make the hair straight. The keratin can last a whole year if don’t sweat a lot. But I sweat a lot so I do 2 to 3 times a year. You can deep condition after the 3 days.
Since I have low porosity hair I was hesitant to do this on myself because I heard the things with low porosity hair and protein however I style my hair either 1-2 times a week so because I’m a natural curls wearing person, I decided keratin would work because maybe loss of keratin from styling and I have fine hair and tight coils. It’s def helps detangling to be quicker and my hair doesn’t web around it’s self as much because it’s so smooth and frizz less
This was very nicely explained thank you very much
Thank you for watching
Beautiful! I am Caucasian but I have curly ,very frizzy dry ,wired hair.
I did not realize until watching your video that there are four hair types. that's very informative!
I recently started doing Salon keratin.
A friend told me it would be life changing, I thought it was a bit of an exaggeration ....it's not.
There’s actually more then 4
She stated she doesn’t believe in the hair grading system. There’s more than 4 hair types girl smh
So how do you like it?
It truly is wonderful! Time effort and money and product that it says sending to your hair at home as well worth it if one can afford it.
I have a degenerated disc as in it's completely gone and my neck so flat ironing my hair is truly painful for me at this point that is why I started getting it done.
Thank you. people either always use it after they try it or never get it again
Thanks so much for the video.. it was great. I have a keratin in my hair and love how well you explained everything. My stylists have always washed my hair again after the flat ironing process and then blow dried my hair. Does that mean they use a stronger and maybe more damaging product? The one I used for the first 2 years also caused a huge amount of smoke when blow drying. Thank goodness the new one isn’t half as bad but the stylist does wash it out after the flat ironing process🤷🏽. Thanks again!!
No, it doesn't mean its stronger, Different brands just use different ways to do it.
Keratin is more of a coating of the hair shaft, no? The coating can be stripped away over time w shampoo. Relaxers are a stronger chemical and the consequences of applying a relaxer wrong are way worse than applying a keratin treatment wrong 😯
I’m getting this done today at 2:30pm. I’m excited.
How did you like your results?
Did you like your treatment?
How did it turn out?
Did the treatment last?
Well?
U are will good for afro hair!🙌
You have done an amazing job, which are good products for this?
Excellent job
You worked a miracle….im pissed I just booked a keratin treatment not knowing owing it was a harmful chemical 😢
This was awesome. I am researching salons in San Diego County. I wish you were near me.
Gorgeous
Great job 👏 😊
Hello first time coming across your video. You did a nice job on her hair. How long does this product last on our hair being straight? My hair is natural, 4c hair type. If I wash my hair 2 weeks after the product was put on my hair, will my hair will still remain straight?. Is keratin straighten treatment the same product as a relaxer-(it has chemicals)? Please advise. Thank you
Beautiful 😮😊
Great job
Thank you 😊
What type of keratin did you use?
I did keratin treatments 3 separate times. The first time came out great, the second time was ok. The 3rd time left my hair so dry and my scalp so flaky it was embarrassing, and it took a long time to recover. I'll never get a keratin treatment again.
Loved this video. I have a question. After you wait the three days and wash it, do you need to blow dry and flat iron again to keep it straight or will it stay straight even if you air dry with no heat?
I think the heat sets the straightening in.
Wow!!!
Thanks for the video. Is keratin different from the chemical relaxers?
What's the difference between amino acid, Brazilian blow out, and other straightners. Which is safer?
A question that has been buring me
How long does your hair last after this treament?? Like how long till it comes back to its original.
It is suppose to last 4 months however, depending on how often you shampoo your hair it can be less or more.
Hi, Seven Zen Hair 👋🏽 I’m about to do the keratin treatment on my 3c/4a hair. My question is: is the shampoo I use before the treatment supposed to have sulfate, since it’s supposed to rinse or should I also use sulfate free shampoo in that step? Thank you 🙏🏽♥️
Btw I’m using the Cliove products 😊 and second question is if it’s safe to apply the keratin close to the roots or 1 inch from them as other keratin brands?
For anyone wondering. I read the ingredients on the Cliove cleansing shampoo, and it does not contain sulfate. So sulfate free shampoo is ok, nonetheless I used regular head and shoulders (with sulfate) and got the same end results. I did apply the keratin close to my roots and it was ok, but it can irritate a bit if it touches the scalp.
Keratin is not a permanent treatment or a relaxer. After six months the keratin treatment wear off and your hair is back to normal
Did your client have high, or low porosity hair. I believe that the porosity type determines how good the outcome is. No one seems to talk about that. Like you, I don't use the hair grading system because I have way more luck with growing my hair by knowing about my hair's porosity type vs focusing on my hair grade. Please advise.
In the video she said the hair was low porosity
You Did Bomb 🔥💗😍
Thank you
This makes me think stylist was using this in my hair without me knowing because for some reason when they do my hair it’s a simple wash and blow dry. When I do my hair it’s hours and hours of detangling 😂😂😂😂. I’m sold on the keratin treatment from here on out 😭
lol they would have to take all these steps so I doubt it. plus this product cost money girl they would not add it without charging lol. its so much harder to do your own hair. That's why mine be in a bun 98% of the time
@@sevenzenhair67 lol maybe they just use keratin shampoo or something 😂
Maybe they're putting relaxer in the shampoo or conditioner! Some salons do this a lot. Be careful
Hi could I ask what the straighteners you are using? They look amazing
Wonder how her hair looks now🤔 because having 2 different textures of hair on your head can damage your hair especially when your hair is naturally very kinky, like mine.
Excellent but you didn't show us how it turned out after washing the product!
She shampooed her own hair. She didn't come back in for me to do it.
Wait, if she washes her hair after this treatment, will it be same ? or straight?
Do you have issues with how much product you use? I try not to use too much, it makes it worse when ironing and all that chemical is evaporating. I do leave the hair wet sometimes if it’s too porous but I haven’t tried to take excess out with a towel. I usually use the dryer not too hot but the iron pretty high 400 or higher, lower if it’s colored or highlighted hair. I turn on a fan and open the door, what do you do for ventilation? Honestly, that shiznit be killing me, between that and perms, Idk maybe after quitting smoking and having been doing this for so many years maybe it’s hitting me harder.
I'm about to do my Kativa keratin kit, I don't like relaxers, too harsh on my 4c Afro hair. I find Keratin kits better for dry Afro hair. UK 🇬🇧
I have dry 4b and thin hair I have the Katina kit in my wish list I’m gonna take the jump and just do it when I get the money I can’t deal with my hair anymore
My hair was thick and had shoulder length. I used oxy keratin shampoo twice in two weeks , 4 year ago and my hair has never been the same since. It was coming out in batches when i wash, the strands had several knots. It still falls after 4 years but about 70percent less and the knots are now at the ends or closer to the ends. Came here seeking some suggestions.
Happy New Year 🎊
Happy New Year!
Wow beautiful
I have very dyed 4c thick medium
frizzy Afro hair and just bought 2 keratin straightening kits. I least got a look at the effects first before I think of using them! Check online reviews. Good to know! I tried Apoghee protein years ago and my hair was frizzy, hard and sticky! Hope the technology is better. Uk 🇬🇧
Protein is only good if your hair is struggling breaking off etc. other wise it'll make it bad. Which kit did you get?
I want a keratin treatment, but I want to know how does it help with retention? How does this one compare to the other treatments on the market?
Do you have to continuously get this treatment? Or you can get it once and be done?
Very beautiful ❤️ you always do such good work injoy watching have a wonderful blessed day today in our Lord GOD and savor JESUS Christ bye 💖💕
Agreed… as same thing happened to me; hair snapped for months!
After getting a keratin treatment?😮
Why do you think this happened?
Extra dryness and brittleness from protein overload. Keratin is a protein. Some folks hair don't take well to much extra protein, others thrive on it.
How long does This last also my hair is relaxed how long do I wait before trying this I’m in NYC, willing to take a trip
amazingggg
is there a good keratin treatment i can do at home on my daughters hair? She straightens her hair and has done alot of damage over the years and has alot of breakage. Id love something with no chemicals if possible and maybe loosen curls to so i can convince her to wear it curly . is soooo beautiful curly but she doesnt like tight curls =(
