Nice to see a Robens tent on TH-cam. I have the exact same tent and love it. My only gripe is the groundsheet seems to let standing water through, but a small tarp footprint has sorted that out.

I decided to head into the Scottish Cairngorms as I knew there may be the opportunity to photograph some of the old Scots pines as well as trying my hand later in the evening at some Astro photography.
Great to see you back out doing a wild camp again Ray. It seems a while since your last one. Ironically, I’ve just downsized from a Nikon DSLR to the Sony A6000 to lighten the load a bit. Fantastic idea for the calendar, and like the other guys would be more than happy to send you a pic Should I take one worthy of the course. All the very best to you.

I've been thinking of getting a Starlght 2 and was just looking up reviews, I hadn't seen that you had used one so this was great. It seems good value for the specification and quality. Did you have any major problems with it?
It was just a bit heavy for me, and an excellent tent for the money. Remember I am carrying around 3-4 kg of camera gear and that is only reason I go for ultralight tent and camping gear to keep my overall weight down. Atb

Yes it would do fine. Have used it in stormy weather in the Scottish Mountains and coped great. Downside is it is a bit on heavy side, but again this is due to the heavier flysheet material which is good in windy weather. Atb
Its called a RibzPack and it come from the US. Think they still make them but had to do search on Ebay and Google to find one. Great bit of kit and surprised they are not more easily available.
Lovely video and would love to walk in this wilderness, I can see where you finished but where did you park your car as it’s fairly remote area. Did you come from the south?

Could I please ask what you would do for water if going for a three day backpack (similar terrain) where access to a stream, lake or river is possible? Am I best using water purification tablets or a water filtration bag/kit? Thank you
I just use a water filter and take an empty bottle for extra water when getting near to my camp. Or camp near a water source that's not too far to get too from tent. If away for for just one night and not sure on the availability of water I carry in a couple of litres for meals and coffee. Atb
