In the first episode, when Grisha tells Eren that he's going to show Eren the basement once he comes back, he was looking forwards, rather than looking towards Eren.
Thats because he wasnt talking to kid Eren, he was talking to adult Eren, who was watching this memory of the past. However, since the attack Titan can see memories from future shifters, Grisha had the memory of Eren looking at this point in time, and so they could indirectly "talk" with each other, despite grisha being long dead by the time adult Eren explored that memory.
Thats one of the "foreshadowings" he was talking about.

Her and Bertold wanted to go back to Marley after what happen with Marcel. However Reiner insisted that they had to complete their mission or else they would be dealt with consequences (Marcels death) so they were pretty much forced to continue the mission by Reiner’s need.

It was for the better tho(fact that they cut most of the scenes). It made Annie look like he's a stray that Reiner and Bert found. That way reiner's and Bert's reveal made a bigger impact

Annie's observation on the irony of their merit system, where the most capable of killing titans are the ones privileged to avoid them, is actually a very keen comparison from where she came from. In Marley, the Eldians strive to be the best in order to inherit the Titans and after that they fulfill the duty that they were preparing for, which is to be used in war, and not slack away in safe luxury.
It was also foreshadowing about king fritz and the founder's will - the founding titan & royal family are the most capable of fighting the onslaught of Marley, and yet they hide themselves on a secluded island behind 3 walls so they can live in bliss.
@@elizabeth4689 that idiot Karl Fritz could have just set up a defence mechanism so the peace on paradis wouldn’t be affected yet he instead set up a non defensive mechanism so Marley could just invade and take the founding Titan and basically control all Eldians that asshole just let the future generations of Eldia take the punishment for an offence they didn’t even know about or committed

The manga is about to end and the anime is in its finall season (S4) you can see s1/s2/s3/s4 on hulu, and crunchy roll is free but has ads, you can also read the manga online for free at readsnk.com s3 ends at ch90 and the anime has adapted to about ch 97 so far, it seems like you dont know much about what's happened in the story so there's alot of good times ahead of you enjoy the series

It seems to me that Annie is exceptionally good at seeing through manipulation. She doesn't fall for Marley's propaganda despite literally being raised on it, she recognized that Reiner was trying to make her second guess herself in Season 4 Episode 3 and that pissed her off, and she seemed to realize what Armin was doing with the "good person" talk right before they tried to capture her in Season 1 Episode 23. There are probably other examples but those are what I can remember right now. Point is, her perceptiveness has actually been on display from the get-go. She's a really interesting character, to say the least.

In Reiner's flashback he's one of the most incompetent warrior candidates and didn't have the chance to fight against any of his competitors. He only got the armoured titan because of Marcel

@@aminpro7770 the reason she was more angry than you’d expect is because of their history as Warriors; it’s clear that she always harbored some resentment towards Reiner for forcing her to continue the mission. And here Reiner is acting like a “soldier” and forcing her to take part in acting like one too when she’s trying to avoid it as much as possible. That’s why she wanted him to try and attack her immediately after Eren did: she wanted the satisfaction of knocking Reiner on his ass.
annie is a skillful soldier, probably just as good as mikasa. but she didn't show off. That's why people think that mikasa's the strongest of the team.
let's hope so, mikasa is too overrated (in my point of view)

Even without Titan ability Annie is strong...very intelligent too. She doesn't let her emotions get in the way and that's a big difference with the others.
Actually Annie is more sensitive and emotional more than mikasa,, when she was in her titan form, she did not kill Armin,, she also regret helping reiner to kill marco

i always liked Annie, even after finding out she was the Female Titan. Its funny how people say she doesn't feel guilty for doing what she did, she has her reasons (whether we agree with them or not). i mean, she at least felt guilty for killing Marco (i think that's his name, the guy that's always with Jean but then again that's just me guessing). She's still human, to a certain degree.
It hasn't been confirmed that she killed Marco. The only thing we know is that she had his 3dm gear.

Annie has always been my favourite since 2013 and still does now. Even when everyone hates on her during the debacle of Female Titan arc, I could only sense something sad going on from her side once she has been shown crying in the forest after her failure of capturing Eren. I don’t know, I just love a badass female character like her even despite being a villain at first.

We can feel sympathetic with every Warrior. Annie’s backstory was just sad and for many of is relatable. Nowadays fathers work all day and don’t have much time for their children. At some point Annie just needs a hug to be able to express herself. Who knows, maybe Armin will hug her ...

Diviner Storm Yep, Isayama said both girls were "equal" and shadis decided to stop the brawl. Neither of them would have won apparently. Probably Eren doesn't remember but I think he had his faith on Annie to win. I personally wanted her to win though since Mikasa is too overpowered.
