Very sad, how places crumble & society have the good & the bad. The dog got put to sleep when it was the owner a nasty cruel guy gets manslaughter & he was the one who was responsible. The world is so messed up! R.I.P Eddy 🌹

It's not always the budget that makes a good film it's the story, the script, actos and music, a tragic film. Many thanks for making this.

Jim (Eddy) is one of a kind. One of my old Krav Maga training partners. He decided to hang his gloves up at age 71, when I asked him why, he said his age is starting to catch up with him! Was always in awe of how he could keep up in sparring with people half his age, and in most cases outwork them.

Great film well put together I'm an old Rhondda Boy and this film is a true picture of many working class communities that have disappeared I was lucky to have witnessed the camaraderie and spirit of the Rhondda, but being born in the early 60's also witnessed the closure of every single Colliery I joined the military in 79 as did many of my new mates who also came from crumbling working class communities we were left with no choice with a basic education and desperate for work we took the Queens shilling. My heart goes out to people who had to face the redundancies with no new job prospects and live with that heartless Bitch Thatcher who ruined those cherished communities.

It always amazed me how close dad's in Liverpool were to their son's. I ran away from approved school with a lad from Dingle,we ended up at his house at night. The sister went to fetch her dad from the pub, and he came in,sat down, and said,"Gary son, you're breaking my heart. you're killing me, son." They ended up hugging each other. My father would have chased me with a cricket bat, shouting, "you'll get my boot up your arse." This was very touching, looking at the family, we could have done without the orange juice robbers, even if it really happened.

So here I am from facebook after Jonny Hirst pointed it out. It was almost bedtime and saw the running time of 45 minutes. I said to myself OK, I'll watch a few minutes then get myself off to bed and watch the rest tomorrow. However, once I started watching I was hooked and watched it all the way through (Now my wife is going to kill me)

Just stumbled upon this film and thoroughly enjoyed it. A very touching, yet true portrayal of how the communities we once had have gone to desolation, drugs and apathy.
