Man is only acting like that cuz he was still free, Canadian prison sentences for Murder are pretty much the same as the USA the only difference is instead of life without the possibility of parole, you can get a parole hearing after 25 years or whatever the sentence is, but being eligible for a parole hearing doesn't mean you're getting out it isn't your release date you don't have any set release date they don't ever have to let you out so idk where you got this 24 months from
