    I like how you can actually swing these staves in game. Oblivion and Skyrim did staves dirty by gravely limiting staff versatility between buffs and damage.

    My staff knowledge is at bare minimum but Magnus one looks like one I'd love using. Hasedoki staff in Skyrim left me with ptsd, it's super overpowered.

    It’s so weird how the difference of magic / staffs etc in each game ..
    And how it contradicts the other games.

    • @Gitshiver
      @Gitshiver  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Right? I figure if some artifacts can "choose" to abandon a master, and are occasionally found in an inactive state, that they must have some sort of "life cycle" so maybe their effects shift as well!

      @@Gitshiver like I’m playing eso and magic is basically staff based than In morrowind a staff is basically a club and I’m oblivion it’s back to a staff that’s magic and Skyrim it’s basically the same. It’s weird makes
      You wonder … what lore reason they could give for staffs not being magic casting tools in morrowind

      @@povilzem I understand that I’m speaking in lore terms…. Not game play. They have the “levitation act” to explain away no more levitation spells. Making reasons in the lore makes the world more believable things like this.. make the world seem manufactured when playing, it’s nice to get lost in the world but little things break the immersion.

    If you duplicate quest items with a merchant you can turn the quest in and still keep one for yourself, its tricky though and may create a billion copies by mistake and crash your game, but it DOES work

    My favorite is the Wizard Staff
    It is an Ebony Staff with the enchantment of 1 point of levitation for 120 seconds and reinforcing by 10 points (or 100 I don't remember well) of unarmed for 120 seconds

    I just scrolled through the UESP Creation Club list to see what Morrowind items are availiable, and for $39.99 to buy them all. Morrowind costs $14.99 on steam. Does that make Morrowind CC for pauper class players? Only Todd knows for sure.

    I miss how straightforward the way magical weapons and enchantment in general were implied to be in Morrowind. Souls are a source of magika. Stick someone's soul in an item and you can essentially "program" it to do all sorts of things, and it'll keep on doing it because _there's a soul in there._ The way you need to keep recharging these items in later games makes much less diagetic sense, the Soul Cairn especially makes the actual "mechanics" of Soul Trap make no sense whatsoever, and then ESO does this whole thing with Vanus Gallerion where his "essence" (which is what, exactly?) is used as a magical power source despite him still being plenty alive.

    • @Gitshiver
      @Gitshiver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It feels like it breaks some metacanon principle of magic, like, the souls are still in the object, which is still in the mundus, and still receives the magical energies from Aetherius like everything else on Nirn. That's my understanding of how magical objects "recharge" in Morrowind, at least.

      Most unique looking in appearance, at least. I was going to go with "most powerful" but the Crosier of St. Lothis didn't quite make sense, though I suppose it IS powerful, just in the most unhelpful way! Lol
