Thanks Andre, glad you agree. Another benefit is it sets your financial thermostat higher than when you start a business directly. In my generation of get rich quick, $10k per month used to be the dream figure people wanted... but that's revenue and not money in your pocket. Having a real salary and getting paid as a manager (like a business owner would), gives you a real idea of what you should be making from your business in terms of salary (and don't forget the profit on top as well). The hard part is letting go of the salary security to start a side hustle as you do have a higher expectation which takes a while to achieve. Hence why a lot of people want to start a business, but don't take the leap once they have responsibilities like mortgages or kids. If I was starting again, I think the "learn on the job" approach would have been smarter and I'd probably be even more ahead financially. But then I also wouldn't have had the freedom of working from home on my own schedule for the last 17+ years and learned as many skills running a business. At the end of the day, our journey is going to be what it is and I don't regret a thing. I think that's the main goal for anyone's life.
I do because my design skills are obviously terrible :) Since my video making skills are also terrible, I'm just practicing that first to make sure people actually want to watch after they click. Maybe in a few months when I've done my first 100 videos :)
Working *in* the business you want to run, is super valuable advice. They pay you to learn.
