Nice to see the old girl 😊. I like the old school stuff if there's no great rush on a job but I seem to be going for modern stuff if I need to get a move on. If your dad was up for it, I'd be interested to hear his story about the old fleet

We had a Case 145 out on demo. It was a good tractor and had plenty of power. The one we had out had the gears like your JD you just pushed it forward and it went up a gear and back to put her down one. I think we would have one. But need to see what way farming goes!
She's one tidy old 7710 you got there when you got AC there just as good as a new tractor to spend the day I used to have a 7740 and 7610 with no AC that was the only problem with them like driving a green house in summer
It’s on par with our jd 8 series ac , can’t fault it, not too bad for a 30+ year old tractor 👍
I agree about old faithful ford tractors 👌🏻 lovely sound without the modern emission stuff all new ones have and no expensive electronics to go wrong! How’s the Mavic? Maybe take it for a ride too on Sunday 😉 oh and case 🤔 I think they are quite good value and AGCO. A magnum would be a nice addition to the farm 😊
Loving the mavic! Although I don’t think I’ll take it while I’m on my bike 😂 tractor and drone is one thing, might be a bit tricky on a motorbike haha!! I like the look of the Pumas, we’ll see.... 👍

Nick's Farm Fendt are quite a computerised tractors and they now have a caterpillar one like the challenger 😎

I drive a 160 puma had it 4 5years now and love it
All I have ever worked is the older equipment like that but have never worked a farm only small 20 to 50 acre crofts.
New tractor?? What about a 8340 SLE from 94, with white roof, those are great tractor's mate ))
Nice vid. Spent many an hour on a 7810 back in the 90s. Only up-to-date knowledge is of my 42hp Kubota..... I miss the big kit.

News all good but there's something about big levers and man an machine working together on skill alone. I know what u mean about fords ac. The ac in my 88 if fenominal. Im going out doing some flail topping over weekend. Good news its my own contracting job bad news can't go out with my big girl cause she's still not repaired 😢

I used to drive a 7710 back in the day great no air conditioning I have got a 6710 for a bit off fun now old school is more fun and you have to drive them not sit and press buttons

Farm I grew up on were all Ford's but for the last two tractors have moved to Case as Doe's of Sutton at Hone have never been allowed to sell new Ford's or new Holland from that depot and the owner I suppose doesn't want the bother of going to Ulting anymore.
From what I've heard and seen of other people they seem a fair tractor.
Maybe a good time to sort out a demo ready for harvest,?

He has all sorts of second hand often quite low hour and only two or three year old tractors. May be worth checking him out, he's in Devon.

If you want something basic and like to still have gearsticks why not stick with a JD 6140m. You still get manual gears and spools and all that stuff. That's where I would be going as its still quite mechanical.
Yeah we looked at the 6140, looks a good tractor, but might need to be something different as our dealership has changed to Case now and the nearest JD dealer is a fair drive away 🤷🏼♂️
