WOW! We can’t believe this episode is finally here! When we first started posting videos over a decade ago, I could have LITERALLY never imagined not only that I would end up circumnavigating the entire planet, but that millions of people around the world would have followed along on our voyage. It’s incredibly surreal, and even looking back on the episode now, I’m still at a loss for words to describe how it feels.
But one emotion I can most definitely pinpoint and express is gratitude- to you, our amazing Tribe who has supported us at every step of the way, to Karin for loving me unconditionally and sharing this wild adventure with me, to Delos for keeping me safe and taking me to the most insanely beautiful and far-flung corners of the globe, and to the 69 crew and the thousands of friends we’ve made along the way that have made this voyage what it is.
We are incredibly proud to share this episode with you, it’s been one of our biggest creative undertakings yet, and an incredibly personal one too.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for coming along on the ride with us. We hope you enjoy
Here is how I know Kazza is so genuine, the contents of Pandora's Box 'Large Jar'. Many sea related details, like the Jolly Rodger, Poseidon's relation to poison, 13 rays, crossroads, pharmacies, the oldest profession, a pirate religion w/ a female deity. Long story short.
Cosmetics
If you wana hear the long version, it has to do with the statue sitting in NY harbor.
Amazing Accomplishment! You are a really amazing family!
I can't add much more than what everyone's said but thank you ....thank you for sharing all this with us
Congrats!!!
You are, as my kids say, the OG. Everyone else who has jumped aboard this wonderful bandwagon, while I applaud in some way, pale in comparison. Thanks for staying real.
Brian, Kazza, Brady, Blue and Jordan (and many of your past crew). I actually had the third sailing channel on Patreon, behind Delos and La Vaga, but as the saying goes, the best way to make God laugh is to say “I have a plan”. For about 5years I had letdown after letdown trying to buy a boat, and during that time I had a similar experience to Brian where one day I just couldn’t convince myself to get out of bed and go to work downtown anymore. But those years spent preparing for a TH-cam life at sea lead me to follow my childhood passion for movies, and the childhood dream that “maybe one day I’ll write a screenplay”. Now, I’m in my mid 40’s and 4years into a new life as an independent filmmaker, writing, producing and directing my own films (with an eye on Yacht World at the same time). As a kid who sucked at English class in high school and still hates to read books, it seems I’ve found my calling as a screenwriter and filmmaker, now in development, funding and casting my first feature film. In large part to following you all as you threw caution to the wind and showed me and many others that you can learn as you go, but first you have to take a giant leap and start, and if you can find that “backup plan” and set fire to it, all the better. (PS-If you’ve met any folks in the film business on your travel, I could use a leg up. Just like the ocean, it’s full of sharks and monster, but I feel Neptune has my back.) Well done all, and cheers to the continuing adventures, whatever they may be. Philip Nelson. Rosehillpictures.com
I doubt you two will even see this comment with how many comments you've already gotten here and how difficult it must be to keep on top of them all, but I felt I had to say you two are one of my biggest inspirations for perusing this lifestyle, and this video has only gone to solidify that goal even more. I can't wait to set sail some day sooner than later and hopefully cross paths with you guys and all of the other incredible sailing families my family has come to know and love through the videos you share with us. Thank you for making this feel like more than just a fantasy and continuing to inspire us to work toward the sailing life every day.
This!
I've been watching Delos for a very long time and I got very emotional watching this video. So I'm right there with you, Brian. Life is surreal. I'm so proud of y'all. Can't believe we have all come this far. We are ALL on Delos with you guys. Y'all really make us feel that way. You're very special people. The best channel hands down
☝🏼this 100%
absolutely
The music and the editing are what take this adventure from cool AF to a masterpiece of TH-cam history. I hope you and Karin give Sierra a sibling in the coming years. It might complicate things a bit on Delos, but you're nothing if not a master of dealing with challenges, Brian!
You should be really proud of yourself, Brian. You completed your circumnavigation, which is no small feat, but you also created and built this amazing community and have had an incredibly positive impact on countless peoples lives and you continue to inspire new people everyday.
Thanks for everything you all do! Much Love!!!
Well said!
VERY TRUE!
Lots of positive spread across the world 🌎
I'd say that Brian has at least average size feet...but I wasn't looking. 😅
@@imabeliever244 haha.. neither was I when I typed my message, apparently lol
Ahoy Delos Tribe! We are beyond stoked to bring you this incredibly special episode! Click "Notify Me" and watch along live with us Saturday at 2pm EST, we will be chatting and answering comments, laughing and crying with you, and reliving this surreal moment where I cross an imaginary line in the ocean that marks the completion of my first lap around planet Earth by sail 🌍✌⛵
We are so stoked to hear that you are heading back to the South Pacific again for what is hopefully your 2nd go around!
Brian, Kazza..thanks for taking us all along on your voyages. I'm super stoked to hear that trip #2 around the blue planet will be commencing soon! Fair winds and following seas to all who board Delos as crew. Looking forward to many more years of adventures with you guys! Love from Santa Barbara, CA.
THANK YOU, for that, "NO way to live" epiphany!! You have shown many that it is OK to feel, "Something just doesn't feel right" and to do something about it!!
When I sail my 20 foot pocket yacht I record my path with GPS. Brian, I'm wondering if you have a record of your GPS track from 13 years ago? If so, you could overlay that track with the newer track and get the exact Latitude and Longitude point where you completed your circumnavigation. The GPS Geek in me would love to know that point! : - )
Well done Brian, what an incredible achievement! Not only sailing around the world but presenting the whole experience in a manner that has inspired so many to follow in your wake! We have followed your journey since you departed Vanuatu and every episode filled our hearts with joy. So much so, that we have now purchased our own sailboat and will be departing for ocean adventures in the near future. You, your family and crew mates have brought love, joy and inspiration to many thousands and deserve all of that in return.
Much love and heartfelt thanks,
Jock, Lisa, Louise and Harry. The “Delos Disciples”!
Congratulations Brian. You left that port and returned with a family and all the pirate treasure of love, life and memories! You sir are a little bit of a hero to me. All the love and happiness to you and your lovely family. Thank you SV Delos for being such a beautiful vessel. Congratulations you beautiful boat!
this should be the preface of the entire video library.....way compelling and so related, particularly for those with high end engineering jobs. An army must follow.✊
Congratulations! It's not only sailing around the world - it's the way you and the crew have done it and share it!
387 episodes and you are still inspiring me. congrats on this achievement. i hope you will get to see me do it one day.
Man, I got all choked up...such an amazing feat & I thank you for allowing all of us to enjoy the world with you. Over the past few years I binged watched to catch up to the present & every time I learn something, laugh out loud, & add places to my bucket list. Thanks so much Brian, Kazza, & nugget. Can't wait to see what's next, fair winds Delos
Wow, thank you!
Well...guess it's time to start again. Just point Delos west and see where you end up. We'll happily come along for the ride!! There's so much out there yet to see!!
i know i can't be the only one crying during that welcome in mexico 😭
thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us. you've shown me so much of the world
🛴❤
I want to say your such a huge inspiration to me Ive been watching for a while now and even though Ive never even seen the ocean (except from a plane window) I love the idea of sailing across an ocean to a completely different place.
World relationship at ultimate! Amazing!!
Wonderful!....as we had the honour to tell you in person last week at the boat show, we've been so inspired by your courage and enthusiasm to step outside of the box and seek adventure, that we've followed your lead. We hope you (Brian & Kazza) realize the impact you've had on so many lives, and are not only proud of the amazing accomplishment of a circumnavigation and growing your beautiful family, but in giving so much back to so many along the way. We look forward to continuing to follow your journey of lap # 2! Congratulations and fair winds! Pete & Deb Gale
Aw thanks so much you two! Great seeing ya at the boat show!
I know this is from months ago but I just found you guys. This made me ugly cry. I will circumnavigate with my family. I feel it in my bones. Congratulations!!! So very inspiring.
Words cannot explain how emotional and fascinating that it! Wishing you many more years of sailing! 🌍❤️🙏
I like Kazza's trust in Bry.. That is love, a true love.. She never doubted.. Took every step with him.. Loads of love to Kazza and Bry..
I had no idea what a feat it is to circumnavigate the world in a sailboat! Congratulations to you Brian and you family and friends. Thank you for sharing the good times and the not so good with us. I have to admit I got teary when the skiff was welcoming you with an air horn blowing. I’m so happy someone else recognized what you had accomplished. Wishing you many more sailing adventures, and happiness always.
Been following you guys for years and I have to admit, not even being a sailor myself, I've loved following you and everyone and watching not only your channel, but your family hit such big success. I know this comment is a year late, but due to some health issues I was dealing with (Bladder cancer), I'm a little behind, but binge watching and getting all caught up. This episode made me a little teary eyed for you Brian! Congratulations!!!!
I had to scroll back through my TH-cam history to find out when I joined the tribe. I have no idea how SV Delos ended up in my feed, but it was Nov 9, 2014 that I watched my first Delos video and I was hooked. I have seen so many amazing places that I'm sure I will never visit thanks to your journey and this channel. Congratulations to Brian on the circumnavigation and everyone who got to wear the SV Delos crew t-shirt helping you do it! You all have been a source of enjoyment, entertainment and education for many years and I hope your journey never ends. Cheers 🍷
Congratulations Brian and SV DELOS crew!!!
I have been watching for years and love every episode.
A huge congrats and a massive thank you to Brian / Karin and all the Delos crew who not only sailed around the World but you let us sail with you. How fortunate are all of us.
“My favorite part of my day was the bus ride” that one hit me hard, as I’m sitting in my car dreading starting my day, with a zoom meeting playing on the passenger seat with no volume because I can’t stand to listen to my boss talk… something needs to change. “This is no way to live”.
Your tales are an inspiration to many, if even just an escape from a dreaded weekly zoom meeting.
Refining the skill of bringing good vibes to the masses, for more than a decade. Thganks mate
Good vibes to the masses, LOVE IT!
Congratulations Brian! You are awesome and very deserving such a rewarding life you created for yourself. Cheers!!
Brian is a rock , And I would crew for him any day ...Must admit got alittle choked up with the welcome you all received. Really an epic story ...
Congratulations Brian! Circumnavigating is an amazing accomplishment, but IMO having the courage and confidence to START the adventure is the most admirable thing you've done. That's hard.
We’re going to be there!! Been watching you for about six years now, watched almost every video! What an amazing journey you, brother Brady, Kazza, Alex, lil’ Nugget, and your entire amazing crew and family have been on these past ten years! So tomorrow, despite a long house-fixup chores list and everything else going on, THIS EPISODE is taking precedence over everything else! 😁👍🏼 Looking forward to this celebration, cheers!! 🎉💥👍🏼⛵️👏🏼
Hahaha YES, priorities 😂 Thanks so much for coming along on the journey with us all these years!
I lived aboard my Dufour 27 for 15 years, have sailed the seven seas, I never circumnavigated, (it wasnt on my to do list), however have 26,000+ miles under my keel, solo transatlantic 8 times. Kudos for videographing your grand adventure. Met soo many of the nomadic liveaboard tribe along my journey who all have cruising stories--those stories we will never know--it has to be an 'on location' thing, thanks for bringing me on location--I began before GPS, with a sextant, and now watermakers, and windbuggers, what a dee-light. Sailing taught me how to live in the present moment, it is all we have. I have swallowed the hook at 72yo. Fair winds and Force 3. Fondly, Dann
CONGRATULATIONS BREEYAWN!! As I’ve said (probably multiple times) before, there is absolutely NO ONE I would be more comfortable with on a blue water cruise than Brian. An incredible sailor, husband, father and all around good guy. Your videos got me through an incredibly difficult time in my life - will always be grateful to you, Kazza and all the Delos crew members over the years.
You should be proud; not only did you sail around the World but you built a beautiful life and family while doing it. A journey and love story for the ages; might sound corny but you should write a screenplay about your life it would be an instant classic!
Couldn't wipe the smile off of my face while watching the video.....happy for you Brian, and Karin/Sierra too.....amazing accomplishment. Thank you, your family, and crew for sharing your journey with all of us. Hugs, love, and cheers! obie and laurie 🍻🤗🍻
What an accomplishment and inspiration to us all as we live your life with you. Thanks for sharing and look forward to watching your continued adventures.
Hola Delos, I just started my cruising journey last month, and I just got to the Sea of Cortez. You have been a driving force in keeping my dream alive for the past 5 yrs. Since we are both in the same part of the world I would love to try and meet this famous boat and its crew that has inspired so many.
Alex on SV Saoirse
This documentary about your voyage inspires me to become more adventurous sailor! Thank you for making videos! We love your channel!
Cheers, from Sailing Liberty 🗽! ❤
What a legend!!! Congrats Brian, can't even fathom how many you've inspired... a true pioneer of independence and true grit.. I've learned so much from you, and will learn so much more going forward. So walk tall brother, celebrate and bask in the knowing that your actions speak so much louder than words ever could, and never forget the immense significance of this unbelievable achievement. Well deserved 🙏
Thanks so much for the kind words Andre 🥰
Congrats Brian, what a freakin tremendous accomplishment!! I remember 7 years ago, watching your guys' videos while I worked as a software engineer too, grinding the days of my life away at a desk. When the weekly Delos video dropped, it was exactly the escape I needed. You guys showed me that "cruising" was this thing you could just go do. You don't need any special qualifications, or to be a super human, you just need determination and, in my case at least, a small amount of savings.
I quit that job and spent almost 3 years cruising on a small boat named Tarka. It was not a journey as long or as far-reaching as yours has been, but it has changed me forever,. I owe that adventure to you guys, for showing me that there are other ways to live our lives beyond the norms of our society, and I just wanted to thank you for that.
Popcorn is popped, beer is on ice..... I'm ready!!! Proud to say that I've watched every episode. Sail on, Delos! ⛵️🍻
Probably my 5th comment on the internet in 25 years on it. My summary is: This is a love story. Love of life, love of adventure, love of the world, love of a partner, love of children, love of friends... Love of Life! You are living what life is meant to be. Congratulations on such a fantastic accomplishment in life and adventure! You are SO very inspirational! I intend to follow your lead. Thank you so very much, from a soon to be former Seattleite. Continued blessings to you!
Congratulations Brian.
Seriously choked up when those air horns were going off… That was a beautiful moment.
The editing in this one was so good, Jordan. Great stuff sister. 🤙🏽
Thankyou Delos, for making many humans have awesome memories.
Brian, my sincerest congratulations! Your circumnavigation is definitely not the quickest, but by far one of the best. Unlike your money and stress driven past life, you are far richer, not in money, but in family, friends, experiences and incredible memories.
I am looking forward to following you and your beautiful family on many more miles of sailing adventures. Hoping to see you out there. Have about another 9 months of refitting on SV Nauti-Girl.
Again, congratulations and fair winds...
Sierra's "woohoo!" at the end was PERFECT (again) for THIS special episode. Congratulations to Brian, Kazza, and all the Delos crew!!!!!
Guy's, all of you...!
Your devotion to your adventures and willingness to bring the world along for the ride is very inspirational. I'm extending my gratitude to you all, many thanks! Because of your platform Delos I can speak to all of you in the sailing community. I know there has to be others that have become attracted in some way to all of your lives. The wins and losses are felt, even though we've never met. Cheers to you all!
Thanks so much for the kind words Paul 💕🙏
You are welcome Brain, Kazza, Nugs and Jordan! I'm from Olympia Washington, Delos is the first sailing channel I subscribed to when you first started. I have to admit my emotions are on the Rollercoaster! (Serveral of the channel/couples have taken a hit lately it's painful to observe as a committed follower) such is life.😥🤗
It has been an amazing journey. Thank you all so much for helping us join the crew on your amazing channel. Mother, mother ocean....
A man's life is his own work of art. You've mastered so much, Brian, and I'm not sure you get just what a majestic bit of art you have created for us to enjoy. Just your sailing and electro-mechanical expertise is impressive, but you manage to do so without being a dick. I admire and respect you, and how you've lived your life. You are an inspiration and example for us all. I'm curious, what's next? How long can you cruise for? Also, do you think growing up on a boat is ideal for Sierra - I truly don't know, fyi. I'm curious who you see it all. Thanks so much. You must realize how many people you've inspired to sail, yes? Has to be thousands. How many TH-cam channels modeled themselves after yours. Take a bow, sir, it's deserved.
Congratulations Brian not only have you circumnavigated the planet you did it with dignity and class. Thanks for all you share and we can’t wait to see what adventure your future holds. Many prayers for you, your family and crew.
I am not a social media person and don’t post anywhere, anytime. This is something that made me happy to the point of tears. Thank you so much for sharing it and a heartfelt congratulations from a fellow programmer that has the same feeling as you did but as a 54 year old. Thank you.
Outstanding achievement Brian, you should feel quite proud of not only the physical distance you covered but also, the many people you have inspired along the way. Proud of you.
Thanks Dan!
OK, I'm sitting here weeping tears of joy for Brian. Bravo my brother!
I discover your channel during pandemic/lockdown. Now I am stoked how your journey comes along the way, reaching the top and achieving the unthinkable. Astig! Checking in from SE Asia, Philippines 🇵🇭
Well done. So what your saying is my master has been watching you for 13 years, Me 8 years. He would get a drink and cigar and I would sit on his lap as we watch all the people & places you sailed to. I sailed also it's like sticking your head out the window and let the wind flap my ears. We love the beach and play ball, I like swimming and digging holes. We are in a happy place as you & Kazz an little one. There is no more someday only this day, never say someday I'll do ? Die with memories not dreams.. Love all of you thank you so much for the ride....
Awesome special episode!!! Thanks so much for inspiring us for so many years and to show us the dream is possible!! 🥰
Thanks guys! Sending lot's of hugs to you. Muito Brazil!
Brian, u r a freaking legend, man! People today have depressing lives and take anti depressants, but that is not the cure. The cure to a depressing life is to change your life. And that takes guts. U did it 13 years ago u are epic man!!!
congrats on this massive achievement. I bought my first boat this year and im feeling so inspired to get out there and start my sailing journey! thanks for your contribution to the community. much love.
Congratulations
Congratulations on your circumnavigation, and especially without any major damages to Delos and no death or injury to all the crew who have sailed with you over the 13 years. I have watched all your episodes, several more than once.
Congrats! Your jonurney is a dream I wish I could take. Thanks for letting us all come a and experience a little bit of all of these life changing moments with SV Delos.
Congratulations Brian and team! What an amazing journey and episode. Thanks for bringing us along!
congrats to your success. That's an envy of every sailor to be. Great job and thanks for taking us in your journey.
Man! How can you not Love this? Getting choked up myself. Just thinking about where my life has taken me in these same years we've shared so much watching you guys. Congratulations Brian and Delos! You're one of my true heros Buddy.
Congratulations! You have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, Delos is the proverbial hole in the water, you poured love into! May more fair winds!
You are an inspiration to us all Brian. I'm an entrepreneur in software just like you used to be, and this episode shook me to my core. Now more than ever I am determined to exit and sail around the world with my fam. After years of watching Delos as my favorite show I must say this is by far the best and most ground breaking episode you've ever made. Nat Geo production level guys, incredible. Thanks being such an important influence on my life Captain Brian!
Hey! Good luck. I hope you found courage and determination to make it happen. Not easy. Cheers. I may join as a crew member one day
Congratulations! Quite the accomplishment! Don't forget listing your stats all the lives you have touched through You Tube and Patreon. You not only changed your life, you changed the lives of 1000s of folks. Well done.
I am so happy for you. Congratulations on your first sail around the world. I have had almost as much fun as the Delos crew, just watching has helped me get through some tough times. You have restored a desire for adventure. Thank you for sharing your story.
So happy we've been able to provide some inspiration for you 💕
Congratulations Brian! we have been with you since the beginning. Amazing accomplishment. Why no mention of Brady, he was a big part of the success. Looking forward to your next adventures, R&K
Man this episode gave me goosebumps! Brian, congratulations on your incredible feat! You are a LEGEND!
Usually I get tears of laughter from watching some of your videos, today brings tears of joy for your accomplishment. My hats off to you.
Congratulations, Brian. And congratulations to Delos for being such a great boat. Have enjoyed your journeys and hope to continue so.
AWSOME! Admire ya all. Been watching since the beginning. I'm from Sedona and I met you and Brady in Annapolis.
I hope all is well between you and your brother. My brother was my best friend. But we drifted apart and I avoided him. He died early and now I can't seem to forgive myself from distancing myself from him.
Anyways, hope you guys circumnavigate the planet one more time!
CHEERS!
Brian - Along with everyone, I'm choked up. Words fail me, which pretty much never happens. I've been with you since '16. Hearts x 10,000 for this rare achievement, plus 10,000 more for finding Karin and welcoming Sierra to the crew and our lucky lives as followers. As a marine biologist with 3/4 of my passion stuck in Computer Science, I grok your path. If it's broke, fix it. If it's not broke, fix it until it is. Looking forward to many more swallow tattoos in your journeys, and...another Nugget? Thoughts on sailing the Great Lakes? Thanks.
Brian and Karin.
Congratulations Brian!
I have watched every single episode you have created at least once! I have never commented on a video before in my life, but after watching this circumnavigation video for a second time…. I just had too reach out! You have produced so many fun videos over the years. But this one is truly special! It stands out in so many ways as the best video you have ever created! What a Great way to celebrate Brian’s momentous achievement! Thanks for sharing your Fascinating Journey and your Beautiful Art with us as well. With Kindest Regards, Dan Seim, Balsam Lake Wisconsin
Thanks Dan, sending you our best! Brian
Congratulations, Captain Brian, and the entire Delos crew for over a decade of incredible adventures sailing around the world! Amazing! You did it!
There are no words to describe how I feel personally ! you guys are just incredible !
This earth circumnavigation of twelve years and ten months was filled with remarkable memories. Not only for you but for the sixty-nine crew members and the uncounted members of the Delos Tribe. The love you have spread and the lives you have touched would be humbling for any man. My words pale to convey the magnitude you, Brian Trautman, have on humanity. Without you, chances are we wouldn't have Max and Frida together with the beautiful family they created with Totem and Alpha. This is but one example. I could go on and on. Congratulations Captain on your circumnavigation! I'm forever in your dept. 💙
First things first, a HUGE congratulations to you Brian for completing your circumnavigation!! It is such an amazing feat and to think that you are now done is mind blowing. It seems like dedication to things is rare nowadays but that is thankfully not the case with you and Delos. As Kazza would say, it’s amazing!!
Full disclosure, this is emotional for me. I know a lot of people may say it, but I truly started watching towards the beginning (Australia) and have been ever since. To be honest, it’s a little embarrassing to say but I started watching Delos videos hoping to see some naked girls (not fully understanding TH-cam rules) but as I watched, I realized the videos had so much more to offer. When I started watching, it was a challenging and stressful time for me and your videos truly helped take me away and ease my stress. My first child had just been born, money was tight and job-related stress was high but seeing Delos out in these beautiful locations provided just enough relief to help cope. Even now with two kids and stress being a little lower, Delos videos still help me retreat from daily life. For that, I can’t thank you enough.
Also, I'm such a geography nerd that one of my true joys of following Delos has been seeing all of the different places; from bustling cities to islands where no one every steps foot. There are so many locations that Delos has been that I never thought to look at but it has opened my mind to the world. At every location, I have to find it on Google Maps just to help see what you're seeing and maybe, get super lucky and catch a glimpse of Delos on a map somewhere (never have 😀). Thanks for exploring the world for us and showing people it's not as scary as one might think.
Ultimately, I just have to say that we are complete strangers but you have helped me more than you know and because of that, I will forever be grateful. I’m landlocked in Denver and chances are our paths will never cross but one day I hope to meet you and shake your hand…and probably tear up and fan girl out just a little bit!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do and have done.
So much love and fair winds!!
What an amazing achievement Brian and Kazza & all the lovely people that made and make this journey so incredible! Congratulations !!!! Wishing you all the best and here is to many more memorable sails and friendships on Delos!
Congratulations Brian! Followed the entire journey. Thank you so much for sharing. It’s flipping amazing.
I am looking forward to this episode. I discovered you guys about a year ago and have enjoyed watching your travelers around the globe. I have been sailing for 26 years, done some racing but mostly fun local cruising and really enjoy seeing what it takes to truly get out and enjoy life. I wish I had the balls to throw the lines and give it a shot. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Hey Bill, stoked we can be some inspiration for you! Thanks for coming along for the ride with us!
Congrats on the circumnavigation completion... I envy you... You are literally living the dream I have had since the late 80s to early 90s somewhere when I was in Highschool and truth be told since I was in early grade school. Truth be told though, You and the Delos family have inspired me to change my dream slightly. Instead of just retiring to a boat and drifting from tropical paradise to tropical paradise, now my plan is to retire to a boat, Start a social media channel to generate a following, and invite said followers to join me as crew so I can share my travels with others who might not otherwise get the opportunity.
May you have many more years of Fair Seas and Following Winds.
When I reach Heaven and am asked about my influences in life, Brian will come up! Don’t know him but who cares. Just a really nice hardworking and fun living person. Nothing to be ashamed of as living free is amazing!
Heaven? What evidence is there that it exists besides a man made book and unproven claims by a "few" people with so called visions/dreams.🤣🤣🤣
@@kenholt8297 what compels people like you ? Your statement is telling.
Aww thanks Laura! So happy to provide you with some inspiration and good vibes 🥰
@@frankpepper4797 👎 People like you compels me, it's just that simple.
I love this video you guys are such a wonderful couple, always smiling always so full of joy. Watching your videos always brightens my day especially seeing nugs and her wonderful smile. You guys are a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing you adventures and travels with us.
I'm more into vanlife than sailing life, but TH-cam obviously thought that the freedom both lives offer are enough to throw one of your vids into my commendations and that is where I stumbled over it. A couple of videos later I will subscribe to this channel with pleasure because you're such a lovely family and your videos are a joy to watch, though they're not about vanlife. All the best! 🙏😎
Congratulations Brian,
I didn't realize you were that close to completing your around the world cruise.
🤗⛵🇺🇸
I finally got around to watching this episode. It must feel amazing to finally complete your circumnavigation. Congratulations, but also thank you. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us, you have inspired so many people to be brave and live the life that makes them happy. My family and I were lucky enough to meet you all in St. Augustine. It was like meeting sailing royalty lol. We have been watching your channel since Madagascar and still love it. We are also a kid boat so it's fun to watch baby nugs grow as my boys are growing up on the boat. Cheers, S/V Ohana
I don’t comment on TH-cam much but this is quite the accomplishment. Congratulations Brian! I’m sure you have been an inspiration to a lot of people.
You guys are amazing! I have been watching you guys for years, congratulations on this monumental achievement!! Fair winds
Captain B. what an incredible achievement. Congratulations from the bottom of my heart. Keep the spirit and cheers to the next round!
You two and all the crew have no idea what you've inspired in the world, or maybe you do? When I was a teenager and in my 20s I had this longing to do a cycle trip from Alaska to the Southern tip of South America. In 2009, after 20 years of kids, jobs, school, struggle, misery, frustration and effort, my wife and I started to get serious. We created software to facilitate remote work and we planned a promotional bike tour that resulted in a trip from Montreal to Vancouver and down to Santa Cruz on the west coast of California.
I don't remember exactly when I started watching your videos but while watching you live out your dreams I realized that I can also live out mine. We don't have to go on a cycle trip or a big adventure but we can live a whole new life.
We kept going just like you did. After cycling 16,000 kms, 26 countries and almost 3 years of riding we gave up the bikes to spend more time in various countries exploring more places. It's 12 years later and we haven't stopped yet. We've just arrived in Canada after a year exploring Mexico and living in Bogota, Colombia.
Next stop is Portugal where we hope to immigrate and make a home before we spend our last years exploring the rest of the world and living a life style that we own, control, create, and that keeps us excited, renewed, has our jaws on the floor most of the time and gives us space to keep exploring and creating.
My Father was a sailor who sailed mostly on the great lakes and out of Secret Cove on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada. I grew up tracing a massive atlas and dreaming of walking across a more primitive world. When I was 7 years old I hatched a plan to find my way way across Canada to the East Coast, offer my services to a tall ship as cabin boy and make my way down to the Caribbean. Thank GOD I DIDN'T HAVE THE INTERNET OR VIDEO GAMES as a kid. I had dreams instead.
I didn't sail but I'm living my dreams and you and your crew are a huge part of that. You gave me the confidence and belief that I could make it real. It helped that you're also an engineer tech guy.
Thank you for sharing every step and for changing my life too! You guys are incredible and we love you.
Congratulations to you for circumnavigating the globe and also for trail blazing a new way of life!
SV Delos, you made me cry. You guys are out there and kicking ass and taking names. I'm so happy that I started watching you during the Covid lockdown, just because I was wondering what people who travel were experiencing. Brian you are a God! And your girls are your princesses! Many loves to all!
Also I almost died at the end...😳😂
Amazing journey, glad you didn't quit and come back to Seattle. I was a "neighbor" I live in Issaquah, 42 years at the family roofing biz. I'm so over it and you make me want to buy a boat and disappear..My father was Navy, Merchant Marines, Tug captain for Foss, Started a roofing biz when I, the last child< was born. He was gone so much from his family. We used to kid him and say " why didn't you start a Tug company" Anyway, I've enjoyed your channel! Hope it takes another trip round the world!
Super awesome and congrats. Having followed for years I would have to say that for a viewer, one of the episodes that struck me was a night crossing in 50 knot winds with one of the lady crewmembers on watch. The sound of the wind was unbelievable and it became all hands on deck. A true example of how to captain a crew and a yacht in adverse weather. I'd say a new designed global tattoo is certainly in order. For EVERY crew member that helped along the way!! Including Maggie!! She dinghy'd around the world!
If ya did not cry at 25 mins in change right b4 the anchor... Your def not human!!! GREAT JOB SIR CAPTAIN BRYAN!! THIS IS TRULY FREAKING AMAZING!! THANK YOU ALL FOR THE AMAZING VIDEOS YOU GIVE US!! DEF CRYING RIGHT NOW!!! NEVER THOUGHT SOMEONE I KNOW FROM HERE CAN MAKE ME FEEL SO INSPIRED!!! CHEERS TO YOU SIR!! AND CHEERS TO YOU ALL TO EXPERIENCE THIS WITH A FREAKING AWESOME GUY!!! TO MANY MORE SIR!!! LET'S GO DELOS!!!!
Congratulations Brian! and thanks for bringing us along all these years!
214, 215 lol, Athletic Greens are amazing!! Thanks for a brilliant video, and a huge congratrulations on your crossing. What an accomplishment indeed!! This video had me in tears all the way through these 28minutes, simply because 6 years ago we randomly came accross one of your videos and we have been watching ever since. We had to go back to the beginning and video for video, a dream of our own developed. A year ago we bought our first boat, a 28ft Spirit yacht, our family of 4 have already made so many memories, sailing part time, while juggling our careers. Soon we are sailing her from Port Elizabeth to our home town of Mosselbay, and then the possibilities are endless. Hoping to be permanently sailing within the next 5 years. Thank you for keeping the dream alive. Love you guys!! Greetings from Mosselbay
Said it before.. I can't belive u guys aren't over a million subs.. this is like the OG sailing channel.. one of the first channels I ever subbed.. been watching for years
Back in the days when delos had to stop to make money to continue on
Congratulations!! What a journey, what a life! May there always be wind in your sails, as long as SV Delos is in the water!
I had to have a world tour t-shirt, and left with a lot more than that. Lol
I was emotional watching this. Brian has completed a goal that is just a dream at this point for me. But, 6 months away from getting our first live aboard boat. Literally in the middle of hunting for our boat.
Congrats. You should be proud
