I am a Canadian entrepreneur trying to set up shop and work remotely in Belgrade Serbia. What do I do in a day here you might ask? Watch this video to find out. I’ll take you to my favourite well-known spots in the city like Kalemegdan and Knez Mihailova as well as a couple personal favourites like the cat castle. Enjoy :)

Here is a piece of info that not many locals even know - @4:58 mark, the rectangular indentation in the medieval wall is actually a window into a Roman wall. Next time you walk there, pay attention to this section of the wall and you will see a differently cut white stone. That is about a 1000 years difference right there.
Really? I had no idea! I will definitely keep my eyes open for that next time I walk through 🥰
@@Isabel-Maria yes. The archeologists left that part of the medieval wall clear of the stone to show what is hidden within.

Since ill be new to Serbia end of November, I would gladly trade a dinner out for info on the city, grocery stores, bakeries, bars, cell service etc. maybe a short walking tour if the weather is good 😃. I’ll be staying in the Dorcol area. No pressure, just a sincere gesture.

just a little fact: Serbia is the first country in the world that got bombarded and invaded by the North Atlantic Terror Organisation (NATO). You can still find destroyed buildings in Belgrade.

Nice apartment. My budget is around $250 per month for a simple studio or 1BR within a 30 minute walk of the main promenade where that cafe you like is located. How did you find yours and what is your monthly rent? Have you done a video about it? Link? I would simply rent off AirBnB but it's very expensive and seems to only list places for like $500 or $1000 USD per month.
My monthly rent right now is insane because I am renting through Airbnb. I honestly don’t like my apartment and am looking for something new 🙈 halooglasi is a really good place to look for apts

Yep, AirBnB definably not the way to go. Just way too pricey. I would suggest checking out the websites of local real estate agents or online oglasi to get a feel for the market. When you identify a couple of units you feel might have some potential try to get a Serbian friend/acquaintance/colleague to call the agent/owner and negotiate. It will keep the rent down. If a foreigner calls about a unit directly, the owner will by default consider that the rent can be nudged upwards because, well, in the owner's eyes, foreigners are wealthier than locals. Real estate 101. Just my five cents worth.. 🙂
Don't worry about the Serbian guy. After 6 months or so, you will meet guy named Petar. Not Peter, Petar (Paehtahr). And he will be wholesome, of course. And hey, what about that Twerk Shop thing? That sounds like fun. Anyway, welcome to Serbia. You will stay here for at least couple of years. Trust me.
