- I got in the kitchen on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and then everyone got sick. Join me for some cozy country cooking.
Pioneer Woman Sloppy Joes www.thepioneer...
Soft Hamburger Buns
1-1/4 cups milk (70° to 80°)
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3-3/4 cups bread flour
1-1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
Place all ingredients in bread machine. Set to dough cycle. Turn out; punch down. Shape into 18 hamburger buns. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. These are so good. You may brush the tops with butter before baking if you'd like.

Chicken and Stuffing casserole
Fill bottom of 9x13 pan with cooked chicken. Mix together 1 can cream of chick with 1 can water. Pour over chicken. Mix 1 stick melted butter with 1 big box of seasoned stuffing mix. I made my own. Stir in 1 cup boiling water. Spread over chicken and soup layers. Bake at 350 until hot, bubbly, and slightly brown on top. This was delicious!!

I grew up in eastern North Dakota and my family called it sloppy joes and then my husband grew up in western North Dakota and they call it BBQ lol

I've been making that chicken and stuffing casserole for the last 50 years sometimes I sprinkle cheese between the chicken and stuffing before I bake it.
Sometimes I even save half the soup mixture to pour over top.
You have to make the stuffing really moist or it will turn out extremely hard and it's like you're chewing rocks.
It's funny. You were out of nutmeg and I was going through my spices today and have 4 jars of it! Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hope you haven't had too many cold weather issues there.

Thanks for the shout out, my friend! It's ok on the crescent rolls. 😜 We can only do so many things, right? Just like I still haven't gotten a pork and beans canning recipe up yet! 😂We make a chicken and stuffing casserole, but it has sour cream in the creamy part. It doesn't make it sour, just really creamy.

When my younger brother was in grade school, he had a best friend named Warren. This was in the late 1960s, during the hippie movement. My dad would always greet young Warren with, "Warren, peace." Poor little guy never caught on.

I’m watching this blog and feeling like it’s a rerun of my last week or so 😂 I was craving bbq last weekend and so I made some and also had to make hamburger rolls. We also have this same ball and it’s a hoot! We have had so much fun. It’s crazy! And we made cookies as well! So far we are 3 for 3!

I made the chicken with stuffing in my crockpot and I also added broccoli. It was delicious. Those hamburger buns looked delicious.

5:54 you might enjoy a very good way to shape buns. Cup your hand over the dough bal and rotate your hand in a circle quickly. Almost like your washing the counter but with your hand cupped over the dough. Hard to explain but worth figuring it out. Its so much easier.

I know several videos ago you said the dishwasher was leaving sandy residue on your dishes. I was wondering if you tried taking out the bottom filter and washing it. I NEVER knew dishwashers had these filters. I just typed in dishwasher filter and my brand into TH-cam and it gives lots of videos on it. I had the same issue with my dishwasher.

Our adult son and daughter in law had a house fire about 8 weeks ago, they and two 50😅 chocolate labs are living in our basement guest area. Last week, they had Covid and upstairs the hubby had the flu! I was looking for other living arrangements! I made a lot of chicken soup and chicken noodles! All are on the mend here hope you all are as well!

I make the sloppy Joe mix and I use flour tortillas with a bit of shredded cheese in them . They are delicous.

I could tell just in the video for Sat that Peter wasn't okay. He just was sluggish.
And last thing! I shopped Costco earlier today. Thought of you when I sampled Cranberry Jalapeño Dip there. Soooo good, but we can all do it even better. Good flavor but needed more CBs and more jalapeños. I know my next project.

Though I got a flu vaccine, I had already had the flu in me, spent two weeks sick, and just today, the 21st. I've made hamburger buns and a loaf of bread. How funny to see you make hamburger buns today. I love it. Once you've had your own homemade buns, I haven't bought them since. The flavor can't compare. Bread flour for me too!.
