ive experienced something similar where there are hundreds fall chinook being super particular in a pool like this. We keyed in on flys like comets and intruders being slowly stripped on heavy sink tips

Way to stick with it guys. I do a lot of river fishing for fall Kings here in Toronto, and they can make it really tough on you. Especially in really slow current like that was, try some lures. Big spinners, spoons and even crankbaits seem to get them fired up when other methods don't work. Rapala J-13s are killer here, not sure what would work best for you on the West Coast.

Kinda freaky when Steelhead rock and knock on cheese!! 🤔🤦🏻♂️ maybe next time I should try Tillamook cheese?? 😂 Besides all that are you guys ever gonna fish the Infamous Feather river down here in cal?? Or the AMERICAN RIVER??august and September the best months

But could you talk about the colors of the fish and what it signifies? I know chrome is good, but I don't know for sure why. Anyhow, I'm headed out fishing one of these days soon and I hope to see you all out on the water.
I get that these aren’t your “okuma sponsored rods” but spinning rods light in the hand, capable of handling big fall kings, and can pop a hook out of the bait when bobber fishing are hard to come by in any brand. I have plenty of okuma stuff a lot of which you guys recommended and am in no way trying to talk down on their gear. Since they don’t have a rod that specifically fills this niche, it would be cool if you guys shared some info on rods that are available to all of us for this style of fishing.
