This was amazing! For video game styles some fun ones could be Five nights at Freddy's (it would be cursed but very interesting) or Night in the Woods, which already has an amazing style with anthropomorphic characters, and then, of course, Animal Crossing.
Matt Groening's original comic Life In Hell was a series about rabbits in very adult situations, and many of the characters are animals! There are few of them on the Simpsons, but if ever you're looking for more similarly cursed Groening animal illustrations, you could check that out. Incredible work, you replicated these styles perfectly!
For video games I recommend "Sam & Max" and "Conker's Bad Fur Day". Both games have iconic styles and I think you'll be able to find inspiration for Hatch in them.
So fun! Video game style would be awesome! My recommendations: -Hollow Knight (tough one!) -animal crossing (duh!) -Night in the Woods (would be so neat!) -5 nights at freddy’s (u mentioned it!) -Inscrytion (Hatch playing card? Yes plz!)
For video game art styles I think it would be cool to do Animal Crossing, Sonic the Hedgehog, and maybe an indie game like Night in the Woods would be neat.
The Foster's Home one is probably my favorite! I immediately recognized it in the thumbnail, and I think you did a wonderful job translating Hatch into it! As for video game styles I'd love to see you tackle the Wind Waker style, I think they'd look adorable in it!
Ok I have a video game suggestion! Night in the woods is a beautiful game and I'm sure Hatch would fit in. Also Poppy Playtime, Baldis Basics, Monster Hunter Stories, Final Fantasy, Yo-Kai Watch, Digimon or maybe the Legend of Zelda?
For video games: -Animal crossing is a given -Mario -Minecraft would be funny and cute -Undertale because it’d be pixel art -Psychonauts would be a really interesting curve ball, it has lots of wiggle room for character design. There are bunnies in it too now that I think of it. -I saw someone else put Night in the Woods and that’d be really neat as well.
I showed a screen shot of Hatch Universe to a friend who loves that show..she recognized instantly as soon as she saw it....love the variations but not as much as the original :)
I really love This video Kasey nwn!! You're so cool and i have Ideas for a Part 2 with other styles: -Codname Kids Next door -Rick And Morty -We Bare bears -The amazing world of Gumball -Aggretsuko -Vivziepop(Hazbin hotel and helluva Boss) -Peanuts(Charlie Brown) -Invader Zim -Dragon Ball Z -Over The garden Wall -Shin-Chan
I was also really impressed with the South Park one! Just wish she did the Powerpuff one with their eyes (or even Mojo Jojo’s eyes) instead of just dots, so it’d be a lot more recognizable as that style. I was hoping she’d revisit it since she got a lot more comfortable as she went on. Still an awesome video and way better than I could do haha
you should do a piece where you put all these versions of Hatch interacting with each other in a scene. The scale and different shapes of the styles could make for a interesting piece
Hatch as a Spartan from Halo, as a turret from Portal, and as a Little Big Planet character rolling a ball. I personally would like to see the Halo one but the Little Big Planet would fit him better. Good luck w/w/e you choose.
to be fair, for putting hatch's pose in the south park style, you could have referenced the south park phone destroyer cards to see what south park style bodies looked like with more dynamic posing, but seeing them in the classic kid standing still framework did make me giggle
the south park style is funny in the sense that not only have they slowly built up more detail in newer character models/sets, but when they do a parody of something they sort of do a mash up of south park and the source material. i feel like if hatch actually appeared in south park, he would be more in the caricature style as shown in the imaginationland trilogy, where they interpreted a loooot of cartoon/general recognizable characters to fit amongst the rest of the cast
Yah, I know they can get kind of crazy with the more themed episode, but I kind of felt like sticking to the basics, haha. (Also, someone with a South Park icon WOULD BE the one to leave a big comment about the South Park style. 😂)
Well done Kasey! I believe that you did an awesome job with converting Hatch into the different styles while keeping the essence of the character! I hope you are going to create more styles of videos! You should definitely do the youtuber artists version, why not even branch out with your other OC’s? I am sure Owlina would fit into form of certain artists! And Dennis is a lock as well! Not so sure about the Ants and other insects, but that is certainly a Herculean task for drawing your characters in differing styles of context’s! For sure you can do video games! Why not think about literary references, favorite book series things of that nature. Whatever you decide I will look forward to watching the video and leave a comment for sure. Keep up the great work Kasey and so glad Hatch has funded!
This is super cute I think my favorite one would have to be the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends! I think it would be so interesting to see it in LavenderTowne's art style as well as other Art TH-camrs
The hatch design looks nice, but it also manages and thrives at different styles because it is so simple. It's reasons like this why I can't imagine designing this.
"Are there any anthropomorphic characters in ghibli??" Yah, there's The Cat Returns, really good movie. And also porco rosso, I haven't seen that one just yet. There's also Kiki's delivery service, but I don't really think that counts since Kiki's cat doesn't stand of his hinds. He just talks. But yeah, that's all I can think. But anyway, you did really well in capturing the styles while drawing your lil buddy here. I really find drawing in different styles fun because it can help improve ones art style. Maybe for the next time you do this sort of thing you should probably attempt the style of different artists. Specifically the kinds seen around on social media. Edit: just heard you say cat returns so imma just toss that aside--
omg I love Hatch they're so cute. imma edit which is my favorite after I watch the sudden desire to see Hatch in FNAF style is strong. Disney is my absolute fave with Ghibli and Pokemón tied for second
For videos I have Omori ( the dream world foes, especially considering how like 50% of the stacking foes are bunnies ) Overcooked ( as a character you can play with since there are a lot of animal characters to choose from anyways ) slime rancher ( as a slime ) or even Minecraft ( as a mob )
This was fun!!! I love the Ghibli, Foster's Home, and Powerpuff Hatches ♡ If you want to do other artists' styles, a LavenderTowne Hatch would be... very interesting
I love how you did the different art styles. For video games, I would recommend Sonic the hedgehog, Minecraft, Spyro the dragon, crash bandicoot, Super Mario Bros, legend of Zelda, fallout, Sims, sockboy, and Rayman.
For south park you could have looked at the card game (phone destroyer) or the games! They have super dynamic, floaty poses, there's also plenty of model images to look at for the base show in fresh, dynamic poses Also not every Looney Tune has gloves! There's plenty of characters you could have chosen from to mishmash into the perfect Hatch shape!
Im sad to hear you hate the hatch/bugs bunny one. You really pulled it off and I think he looked cute. You're a lot better with other styles than you realize, I think. Loved this video!! ♥️
Hearing Kasey talk about how much she hate the last one makes me want someone to create a challenge where artists draw/paint things they hate! It's like watching someone who gets scared easily play a scary game lol.
I'd love to see, like, an OC in the different Zelda art styles (Botw, Toon, etc.) or the different Mario Art Styles (paper, RPG, 3D, 8 Bit, Smash Bros Realistic, etc)
Honestly think you were pretty dang successful with the designs. [Well, except looney Tunes. Get into that in a minute.] 'Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends' was honestly such a perfect fit for Hatch, and made me smile. Back on Looney Tunes, which generation were you going for? Because, design wise, you probably would have had an easier time with either 'The Looney Tunes Show' or the more traditional Bob Clampett era. The first uses shapes a bit more in your comfort zone-- I feel-- while the latter had more fun with the beaniness of bodies and still felt pretty in touch with its rubberhose roots. Plus, honestly the yellow gloves of Bugs from that era would have popped off well against Hatch's blue fur.
I love these videos so much! He looks amazing! I love your style so much but a lot of these suit him so well too! I wish i could find my own style so i could do one of these
@@KaseyTheGolden It'd certainly be an uphill battle with how little animals there are vs how diverse the shapes in humans are, but I'm sure you could figure it out.

Hi kasey! I was at the part where you were saying you couldn’t think of any anthropomorphic studio ghibli characters but a movie you should watch is the Boy and the beast my favorite 10/10
What you like and don't like really shows in the quality of the art styles you chose. Gibli I think is the best and Patch bunnies are the least. It really shows. Great job!
The Simpsons Hatch came on screen and the first thing I did was shout "CRACK RABBIT!" ... I love it. My favorite one by far was Fosters. It's just so cute and cuddly lookin! Ghibli is close, you did an amazing job making the tail look super plush
I’m new to drawing, been practicing on and off for the last two years… since I don’t go out and need some new hobbies. I’ve tried developing my own style but it’s proven to be a more involved and time consuming thing than I expected. And as a result I’ve found it somewhat easier to just learn from others styles by drawing their characters like from comics and cartoons and games, and hope that that rubs off on me more. I mostly draw humans/humanoid characters and have been trying to practice drawing real people but it’s still just iffy at best. I think for the time being I should keep focusing on just trying to recreate already existing characters and do my best to keep practicing
If we are talking videogames, I think it would be fun to see Hatch in a pixelated style, like one of those rpg maker games (ex: Ib, The Witch's House, Mad Father, etc.)! I was thinking specifically of the in game sprite, but a portrait would be cool too! (Dunno if I'm making sense here ahah)
It's been forever since I've seen a video like this! Id love to see this trend brought back, it was really fun to see
I think ADCartattack has done quite a few of these
The absolutely urge to crochet Hatch is really irresistible. (Same goes for Dennis and Owlina.)
Didn’t you make the Cat Cactus?!
@@KaseyTheGolden I did!
