Like you said, Div...there are no words. The viewer would have to choose not to see it. I have said this before, the love story between Lucas and Elizabeth unfolded beautifully right before our eyes. And I feel sorry for those who missed it because they were blinded by a red serge. Lucas proved over and over again that he was the better man and that he was TRULY in love with Elizabeth, which he demonstrated ( love is an act of will) wonderfully! I can't wait until they exchange "I love yous"! ❤ BTW great job! Always love watching! 😊👍🏻👍🏻
I assumed Lucas was the man for Elizabeth in season six. The rest was just watching the story unfold. I appreciate that Hallmark did not try to do an Elizabeth and a Mountie reboot. I feel like they gave Elizabeth a man very similar to Jack, but without the burden of him being a Mountie.
Well said. And i agree. Lucas and Jack are similar but also different too. More so i find Lucas and Elizabeth more connected - connection which i find you need in a second love story to find that connection and so on and Lucas just understands Elizabeth etc. And To being Soulmates.
@@varisol6675 I agree with you regarding the connection. I haven’t forgotten about Jack, but I no longer miss him. Like you, I believe Lucas and Elizabeth are soulmates. I can hardly wait to see them together as an official couple next season.
I felt it was an early on Lucas/Elizabeth courtship eventhough Elizabeth heart wasn't open to love at first their kindred spirits had an undeniable bond through the language of words & intellectual thinking, the writers used several examples of that bond in the set up the library, the union city trip and the publishing of her novel. More importantly Lucas respected Elizabeth as a woman first and secondly as a widowed school teacher which garners town scrutiny, he carefully kept her virture safe both publicly & personally which shows his maturity in romantic relationships, we didn't see that with Nathan his romantic maturity was non existent, it leads one to believe he hasn't had many relationships to acquire that maturity !! We know that also when Elizabeth asked him while sitting outside the infirmary if he had ever lost someone close to his heart ? He said no. This lack of romantic maturity shines through in his unrequited pursuit of Elizabeth by not being upfront with Elizabeth about his reason for being in HV, pressuring her for a date & ultimately seeking his gratification first over Elizabeth's. Great podcast ladies look forward to your next one !!
Very nice as always, ladies. I loved it. I would like to share 3 points about interviews: Erin said in the interview, that Elizabeth would take the reins of the relationship with the guy she would be choosing. Also, before the E12, there is an interview with Kavan, Pascalle and Erin in which Kavan says that "he was one of those who believed before that the story should be between a Mountie and a teacher, but he realized that it didn't have to be that way anymore" . (Sorry, I don't exactly remember your words, but I know I read a comment from a TN recently where it says that if she had heard the interview before, she would have known it would be Lucas). Also, there is an interview with Viv, about episode 4 in which he quotes "that Elizabeth and Lucas just needed to tell each other they loved each other". I believe we were not misled.
Lucas is so much more sophisticated and educated than Nathan and Elizabeth would want to share her stories and writings with him. Lucas has Elizabeth first and foremost on his mind and wants to please her in every way and any way he can to win her heart and he does...so happy for their new love to begin in the next season....thank you for sharing with us too.
Thank you ladies for this! I will admit that I was totally team Nathan while watching WCTH but also being mad at him for his mistakes and attitude and thinking “you need to be acting more like Lucas!” However, I have realized it was because I have read the book series and assumed they were trying to be similar to it as much as possible and it didn’t even occur to me to just let it go. This tv series is it’s own entity and world, and as soon as I stopped trying to turn it back into something that it clearly wasn’t anymore I love the show again. It never made sense to me while watching the show how they were going to swing it back to Nathan and I totally missed out on loving the love story enfolding in front of me. I will say I have really enjoyed how you have dissected the plot line and all of the clues and choices the show made to tell us it’s Lucas, because what made me kinda mad is when I kept hearing that they didn’t make the decision until the very end of season 8, that didn’t fit with what they showed us on the show. So now I am definitely team Lucas and I really need to re-watch their love story!
Love this!! Thank you! Yes, definitely go rewatch!! It’s such a beautiful love story, and I’m so sorry you missed out on it before, but it will always be there for us to rewatch (over and over and over again🤣😍)
Turquoise2013 Thank you for watching these young ladies podcasts & giving your comments. When Season 6 started, I was just a WCTH Fan. I loved the Jack & Elizabeth love story so much that I wasn't sure how I was going to accept a different man in Elizabeth's life. I have watched both Chris & Kevin in Hallmark movies & love them both as actors so I felt nueteral. I started watching Seasons 6-8 like a 'Who Will Elizabeth Choose' game because Erin, Chris & Kevin all said there would be twists & turns so just when you think you know who Elizabeth is going to pick, the storyline will turn & it might be other person. I started leaning towards Lucas soon after Nathan came to HV. I called myself a Team Lucas fan after Elizabeth hugged Nathan when she thought he'd been shot....I thought Elizabeth got scared & was thinking of Jack. I'm sure she was glad Nathan hadn't been shot but she was thinking of Jack, not romantically about Nathan. Plus, she was so happy to see Lucas when he apologized for leaving without explaining why. Since Season 8 has ended, I started watching videos about Nathan & reading comments from Team Nathan to try to understand why they were so angry & why they disliked Lucas so much. I can understand some of their reasons, but still don't see why they say such nasty & mean comments about Lucas. However, the fans that analyze Nathan scenes see them totally different than Team Lucas. I don't leave comments very often because they don't want to here good things about Lucas & Elizabeth & definitely don't want to read negative comments about Nathan. A couple times I have referred them to a Podcast if anyone seems interested...& There have been a few. Like Kevin McGarry said on an interview after Season 8 was done, he'd like to see fans become Team HV again.
This podcast was exceptional! I agree with everything you ladies talked about. I'm definitely with Div in not understanding how some Nathan fans think there was more romantic chemistry between Nathan & Elizabeth than Lucas & Elizabeth. I have gone back & watched some of the Nathan video's & I see where they have Analyzed scenes with Nathan which are so screwy. For instance, when Nathan takes Florence's wedding bouquet to Elizabeth & then when Elizabeth helps Nathan put on his surge after she warms it up. The analyst basically describes that as Elizabeth & Nathan showing how much they love each other. In the end, IMO, some fans will never see the true person Lucas is. But, Nathan is a Mountie & they don't want to admit that he has been very deceitful. Look forward to your next podcast. ☺️🤔👍
“ Mommy’s got eyes for another man,” is still gold and still gets me every time I hear it. An interview that gave it away for me was the one that Viv Leacock did with Bubbly Sesh where they were recapping 8-4, and they were discussing the library scene. He said something like “these two people are in love with each other and I don’t know why they don’t just say it.” This was a huge giveaway for me and it made me so excited. Also, I wonder at the writers not having Nathan pursue Elizabeth while Lucas was gone. It’s as though they want it to seem like the competition is what is driving him and not any real feelings.
Edkchestnut . . . this is exactly how I've been feeling about Nathan's feelings towards Elizabeth for the past seasons. It always did seem like a competition to him as his main focus, almost trying to show Lucas and the rest of the town that he was the better man and would win her heart without really making any connections with her or even trying to get to know her as a person. He seemed to almost expect that Elizabeth would return his feelings just because he was a Mountie and her late husband was a Mountie, as if that is all a relationship needed to be based upon. Love this podcast and everyone's input and insights.
@@katmurph123 Exactly. He didn’t put in any real effort to get to really know her. He just expected to win the competition with Lucas whereas Lucas loves her and wants her to be happy.
Yes I thought the casting of Chris and Kevin were done with Chris being her new love interest. With Nathan I knew she wouldn't pick him if you go back to S5 finale. There was no way she would choose that life again. I like Nathan with everything except with Elizabeth. Lucas was so compatible with Elizabeth from the start to me. I never had any doubts about it. Nathan had to many criminals in his family, wasn't truthful, keeps to many secrets. He needed Elizabeth too much. Lucas always added to her life. She never had to do anything for Lucas, he lifted burdens from her. He brought life back into her life. He knows all her worlds and knows her better than anyone including herself. He looked for ways to show her he loved her. Other people notice she was falling in love with Lucas. Bill, Rosemary, and even Allie and Nathan. And eventually everyone in the town. With the flowers we know Elizabeth was home so why did Nathan want to talk about the flowers he gave her as if he wanted a pat on the back for it. Then telling her he didn't mind a little competition. Lucas gave her the flowers and said she didn't have to say anything just enjoy them because she deserved them. Lucas told Nathan someone needed to do something nice for Elizabeth and Nathan said he like to think he already did. Lucas said good for you. So what had Nathan done for Elizabeth I couldn't find anything. So was that another lie? That's another reason I knew she wouldn't choose Nathan. Lucas was always truthful and Nathan wasn't. Lucas always made her smile and Nathan didn't. Lucas would rather be hurt than to her Elizabeth. Nathan didn't care if he hurt her or not.
He was talking about Fort Clay. All the Fort Clay plot was not created in season 8, i don't believe it. Nathan was always very vague and very upset every time Elizabeth or Bill asked him about Jack, since season 6. That's another reason why I think Lucas was the end game since the beggining.
I’m ride or die Team Lucas, but I have to give Nathan credit when it’s due. The nice thing he did for her was carving the Emerson quote plaque that hangs in the library. That was very thoughtful.
@01:06:55 on Nathan declaring his love. I thought it was strange that earlier in front of the Mercantile, Nathan tells E that he’s checking out Bill’s property and it is time for him to settle down. Then Elizabeth asks Nathan perhaps they could get together. A couple of scenes after that, she sits on the road and seems to be waiting for Nathan coming from Bill’s property. I don’t think that was the “get together” she intended. But the look on her face and body language upon meeting Helen and then in front of the Mercantile showed so much discomfort. Her body was telling her what her heart could not articulate. She went for a horse ride perhaps to process what she was feeling and Nathan’s words of settling down. She never wants to hurt people’s feelings but she has to be truthful with Nathan. She knew strongly she couldn’t give Nathan what he wanted as reaffirmed the next day in E’s conversation with Rosemary. Do you think she purposely waited there for Nathan to tell him? In S8 interviews of Erin she said there were hints of her choice. Her body language was a clear sign that Nathan was not end game. Even in 8.1 when Lucas comes to apologize she lights up with so much joy.
Lucas was written for Elizabeth character since the beginning. We watched for three seasons the relationship between Elizabeth and Lucas grow. Nathan never had a single chance.
I finally had a chance to listen/view both the podcast and you-tube versions. Thank goodness for replays! It was fun. Looking forward to more podcasts!
I absolutely loved this episode. I just watched that episode about Johanna, it was an ET interview and it had Eva, Andrea, Natasha and Kayla on it as well. She said she read the final script about an hour later and when she was in the green room and saw Erin and Chris will huddled in the corner and Johanna read the last line and she was like holy Hannah and everyone looked right at her. I am convinced that Chris was picked for Lucas and Elizabeth being together. I agree I did not want the Mountie/schoolteacher again. And Kevin has so many projects that he is doing. I feel that Nathan needed Elizabeth more than Elizabeth needed Nathan. The difference between Lucas and Nathan is that Lucas has so much in common with Elizabeth and he wants to do everything for her vs her having to do everything for Lucas. I believe that both Lucas and Elizabeth compliment each other very well. I Like Nathan and Allie, just not for Elizabeth. I don’t want to see a ready made family. I am excited to see the relationship between Lucas and Little Jack And the three of them as a family unit.
Girls, I can only write the same things over and over; I might be redundant but the truth is only one: all your podcasts are serious, because they are honest !!Well done Ladies, good job.The analyzes follow the script step by step, highlighting that we have not been mislead, that we were rooting for the couple who had all the elements to be the endgame. Nathan was such an embarrassing character that calling him a "suitor"is an offense to the intelligence of the audience(and in fact it has been proven that he wasn't from the beginning). Sorry,I too wanted to be brutally honest🤪
Don't forget that Bill still doesn't know about Jack taking Nathan's place when he died. Bill just found out that Nathan and Jack were at Fort Clay at the same time.
Actually Lucus literally stated he was called to audition for Nathan. And after he did so, they asked him to do an audition for Lucus , h did & they decided to cast him for Lucy's.
You mean Chris stated that? Yes, he auditioned for both Lucas and Nathan, and then he was asked to do a chemistry read with Erin as Lucas after both of those auditions. He got the part of Lucas following that test.
& btw I only first heard about WCTH about 6 months ago. So I’m a relatively new heartie & then on #TeamLucas. “Mummy has eyes for another man” 🤣 best quote from your podcasts so far.
I. Ever heard anyone ever comment on when Elizabeth went yi Lucas office got the first time Lucas asks Florence to place the call again to the art house when he speaks French. He asks ti be excised and Elizabeth sort if wiggles her nose do flirty. Did any ibr notice. It was so cute
No. O it was. It Elizabeth thst moved the dinner yi the yard. She said I dubt know a dinner in the backyard under the stars was pretty wonderful. Saying she gives him credit
She is acknowledging how enjoyable it was to have been able to have the backyard dinner rather than need to cancel. As always, Lucas was more than willing to accommodate her needs.
I think this podcast is so cute and l agree with everything. Nathan is not even close to being on the same educational level as Elizabeth and it shows. It seems education isn't important to him.
I am and always have been team Lucas but playing the devil's advocate, love is blind. So as far as Nathan is concerned when you're in love, you hear what you want to hear the way you want to hear it and not necessarily the way it is went. So since Nathan wanted Elizabeth to love him, comments and actions that Elizabeth made had Nathan's spin on them not the spin that Elizabeth meant to show..
For real, the problem with Lucas is that he doesn't wear a uniform. That's his problem. The people in Team Nathan want the teacher with a mountie, period, and the saddest part is that at this point it doesn't matter who the teacher is. I've seen some comments in which TN fans say that L and E should move away from HV, and a new teacher should come to town and fall for Nathan.
Oi eu não consigo entender está série este escritores estão querendo mudar esse história mas não vai dá certo eles vão perder muito porque nós não vimos assistir sem Lucas não
@@kirstengower7364 that's true! And the saddest part is that they want the show to fail. They are campaigning for the show and season 9 to be the worst in numbers and the show to be canceled
@@thaisbarrosocorrea6948 I find their actions on this issue mean spirited. They proclaim to love and respect Kevin and Jaeda, yet they would jeopardize their livelihoods by boycotting the show. I find it selfish and pathetic behavior.
Ah I just love your analysis of the different dynamics between Elizabeth & Lucas, and Elizabeth and Nathan. Like you’ve pointed out, & the more I’ve watched clips of both pairings. it’s like Night & Day. Although I now cringe at the E&N on their own scenes. It’s such an awkward dynamic. So I’ve actually stopped & hardly watched those scenes now. & more & more I have come to realise. Yes 🙌 of course, why would they show certain scenes between E & L but not between E & N. E.g her reaction from being given flowers etc. I don’t mean to be mean. But like you say, Team Nathan that’s got to be a indication that E&N weren’t going to be end game. It’s like I’m sorry. But them saying, Nathan didn’t have much of a chance. Well hello! Maybe that was just a massive hint. 🤦♀️ duh. If it really was a level playing field, then she definitely would have been leading both men on. But no, she totally wasn’t. She just didn’t want to date Nathan. Where as she basically went on 4 dates with Lucas before the finale (1 official, union city trip, library ‘if this were a date’, picnic at sun set) Plus there’s at least 3 times where there’s an almost kiss between E&L. So now that I’ve watched clips over & over again. There’s just no competition. It’s now so obvious that it would be Lucas. E just needed to move through & get over her grief. Div, you totally hit the nail on the head there in this podcast episode lol. #TeamLucas
Sorry. For me there was never another choice but Lucas. Elizabeth would recoil at Nathan s advances. Why doesn’t Nathan get it. Elizabeth just does nit want ti date Nathan she doesn’t even want to go to dinners with him. The cafe. He sure didn’t think very much or make a plan for dinner. He’s all about the cafe. How exciting NOT. S woman wants to be wooed she wants to feel special look how Lucas goes out of his way for his woman. He said if yiu will recall he would do everything to win the woman he wants
Look at the look on her face when she walks away from meeting Nathan at the prison. Also when Nathan asks her to go out to dinner after she has had the library non date. Thats when she fell in love with Lucas
We rotate some girls in and out! I wish everyone could be in every episode, but it’s pretty difficult not to interrupt each other when we have 5-6 people 😆 plus, not everyone is always available :)
@@TheLucaBethLounge. Ok thank you. Now I get it. And yiu mentioned a possible kiss Lucas and Elizabeth during the ladies choice Dance I’m glad they did not. It would have been tii esrky and I doubt Elizabeth would do that in Front if the town where everyone could see. She couldn’t even. Ring herself to let Lucas hold her hand in the saloon in public while waiting on news about Ned. Thanks fir always clearing things up for me
Hi Guys Just watching this again. Jillian you made a good point. Erin said that it would have been a different story line if she had chosen Nathan. Well the book story line with Lucas began in season 7.
When Nathan is referred to as an honest & honorable man, on more than one occasion, I am so annoyed. He several times has lies of omission, his attitude too often is unkind , judgemental and has a sarcastically arrogant attitude that is really irritating..

Thank you, my friend ❤️❤️ You know you're one of our favorite girls! ✨✨
@@DivineLustre ❤😘
Don't forget that Bill still doesn't know about Jack taking Nathan's place when he died. Bill just found out that Nathan and Jack were at Fort Clay at the same time.
Are the suns rays shining on Div...so cool ...
It was such a perfectly sunny day to sit outdoors and talk to some of my favorite girls 🥰🥰
I completely agree with Joan Jones. She covered every base so well that I don't need to add anything!!! Great insight!!! I can't wait for S9!!!
She couldn't share it with Nathan, he didn't even have a clue what going deeper meant. Simply clueless.
Missed you guys!
We missed you all too! So happy to be back after a short break!
& btw I only first heard about WCTH about 6 months ago. So I’m a relatively new heartie & then on #TeamLucas. “Mummy has eyes for another man” 🤣 best quote from your podcasts so far.
Another great podcast ladies!
LOL! Julian: "Get off your horse, get off your high-horse" 😂🤣
No.
Haha thank you!
I saw over and over Elizabeth wiujd recoil at Nathan’s advances. Notice her breathing. But with Lucas she always was smiling
It doesn't matter who talks to Nathan or what they say .... Nathan does not listen. That is even proven by Bill, Rosemary and Allie!!!
Just like TN then. They don't listen, they don't see and they don't reason.
Lindo casal
Sorry fir me there is no house other than Chris
#TeamLucas
Thank you for the kind words ❤️❤️
Where are your missing ladies?
We rotate some girls in and out! I wish everyone could be in every episode, but it’s pretty difficult not to interrupt each other when we have 5-6 people 😆 plus, not everyone is always available :)
What hug I don’t remember s hug between Lucas and Elizabeth while Dancing. Did I blink???
If we mention the hug, we mean the one between Nathan and Elizabeth at the end of season 7

Captions should be generated within the next couple of days, I think!
@@TheLucaBethLounge I just finished listening. Captions are there as long as the listener turns them on.
Hi Guys Just watching this again. Jillian you made a good point. Erin said that it would have been a different story line if she had chosen Nathan. Well the book story line with Lucas began in season 7.
Lucas Lindão
Sorry. Choice
When Nathan is referred to as an honest & honorable man, on more than one occasion, I am so annoyed. He several times has lies of omission, his attitude too often is unkind , judgemental and has a sarcastically arrogant attitude that is really irritating..
