This session made me realize that just when I think I am somehow understanding and diving into the product management ocean, I am only near to the tip of the iceberg. Wonderful session TPF!

Another good resource to pull from. I find a nugget in every Cagan video. Good questions and comments from the guys as well.

Great talk by Marty. The first 34 minutes are excellent. Would be great if the Q&A was better - have more organised questions and ask him something really insightful. Two of the questions were the same. This feels like a bad use of the time. But otherwise was excellent Marty content as usual.

Good learning here about PM, but really, this PM role is termed differently in companies. I am wondering, on what basis a PM is rated? some products might take 2 years to come out, till then he is supposed to just walk around talking to teams and checking their work? I mean a Program Manager will have to adhere to some standards, a Project manager has to execute the project with the teams, but what will PMs do during execution?

Depends on the stage of the company. Smaller teams might have overlapping roles, bigger ones will have dedicated product managers and project managers. At Microsoft for example, Product Managers are referred to as Program Managers.
