Carbon diving fins are lighter and stronger than traditional diving fins. Therefore, they provide more thrust and allow you to swim for longer durations.
Materials needed to assemble a carbon diving fin:
• Carbon diving fin
• Fin foot pocket
• Fin tape
• Hobby knife
• Screwdriver
• 500-grit sandpaper
• Alcohol
• Liquid soap
Installation:
Before starting the assembly process, clean and dry the fin foot pocket and the carbon blade. Then, follow the steps below to perform the assembly:
Ensure that the fin foot pocket fits properly under the carbon blade.
Take the fin tape and place it along the edge of the blade. The tape will be used to secure the blade to the fin foot pocket.
Use a hobby knife or a suitable tool to cut the tape to the required length.
Use a screwdriver to tightly secure the tape and attach the carbon blade to the foot pocket.
Check that the assembly is secure and make any necessary adjustments.
Lightly sand the assembly area using the 500-grit sandpaper. This will help the fin to adhere better.
Clean the sanded area with alcohol to remove any residue.
Apply a thin layer of liquid soap to the fin foot pocket.
Insert the blade into the foot pocket and make sure it is aligned properly.
Press the blade firmly into the foot pocket until it is securely in place.
Clean any excess soap or adhesive from the fin assembly.
