I’m not saying that GITMS is queer oral history in action, but I am saying that GITMS is queer oral history in action. Maddy, your show is, in its own way, an important contribution to queer history. Stuff like this would typically be relegated to books (which unfortunately in this day and age are at risk of being banned), so having this be on TH-cam to be easily accessible to anyone is providing an outlet for queens to recall their experiences and shine a light on their life journeys as queer people in a controversial occupation, as well as provide queer youth with a very open look into their idols and the experience of being queer in years past.
@@RNCHFND One day, the ballroom scene collided with politics, then this video about a queer youth growing up from ballscene is an important historical evidence of youth queer from that subculture. Aja has always been the realest, she can dish it out and take it.
Aja is such a ball of joy and fun, the way she bounced back at Maddie's reads and comments... Girl that's pure talent right here
this is why i’ve always loved aja and the house of aja she’s so real and authentic
Aja is one of my favorite people to ever come onto my TV screens. She’s so authentically herself.
i have been having a HORRIBLE week, barely slept, and have an hour before i have to get back to the grind…but just getting this notif made me feel warm and cozy ♥️ and AJA?!? girlie i cannot wait to watch this. thank you for continuing to bring it to us every time!

@kelseyjaffer I feel ya girl hang in there. The past 2 weeks I came in early for 4 shifts and today is my 6th day in a row. Had two off but worked 9 straight before that. Torture. It's over after tonight though:)
Hope that today’s a better day for you.
@@nathans.5911 i hope you are absolutely luxuriating in your day off!
First Aja being showcased on Matt Cullen's channel and now with Maddy!! Ugh this is incredible

Aja has matured so much , she looks great , send more love to her she deserves it.
The shake aja does to start the video is gonna live in my mind rent free forever
Maddy's gift is being able to connect and banter w so many queens.. the gays could never
obsessed that she says 'pull up in the priyanka.' unafraid to paraphrase or not to paraphrase
I play this video 2 times a day while I'm doing dishes, and by now I know exactly when to look up to see Aja's face whenever Maddy drags her.
maddy and aja have suchhhhh good chemistry
Aja is a god damn Icon, then and now. Also Maddy, your episodes are honestly getting such a high production amazing. My favourite interviewer by far now.
Aja's and Maddy's back and forth is really to live for
This whole interview is FULL of clippable moments up to the EARS, honey. Aja is such a good sport and the bouncing back and forth was so quick. It was all so entertaining and fun!!
I am so glad we’re bringing back the games at the end. I really missed them, and I’m glad to see both the fun silly game and the heartfelt gifts.
A little tip for those relying on CCs: if you scroll down the description box there's the "show transcript" button, which opens under the video, and that way you both have the visibility of the CC and the on-screen caption. Hope this comes in handy
Thanks! It helps my hearing impaired old(58) self!😅
@@MaryJoMamaJojo glad to be of help ^^
People need to book Aja for Pride events this year - if you know others who are part of the scene, please create a conversation. Aja - I donated to your GoFundMe and do not regret it. I cannot wait to see you in Alaska and share a blunt with you, girl. ❤
I’m omw! Lmao
“I’m banned from Lyft,”.
“I thought you had the sponsorship?”
