So glad that you did this review, from watching all your videos I suspected this would be right up your alley. Listening to the rest of the album will be a lot of fun for you, it’s brilliant. I love Todd’s songs, he has such a unique writing style. They are really great live too. I’ve seen them a bunch of times, they are super tight & Todd especially always seems so stoked when they play.
so great to hear you give these amazing bands like propagandhi the respect they deserve. they have been making music for so many years and putting that work in!!!
This band is si awesome. Listening to them for close to 30 years and still in my top 5 I guess. Bass speaking, really like Adventures in Zoochosis. Such a nice song. Breakdown = Goosebumps everytime.
i find it really interesting that you think Chris and Todd have similar voices! For most of the band’s history, the contrast between the two of them (in their songwriting as well) has been part of what makes Propagandhi so compelling. But Todd has much less of a presence on Victory Lap (only sings/wrote When All Your Fears Collide and Nigredo) because he was going through a lot of personal/family stuff during writing and production. He also sings with a lot less of his trademark snarl on that album. But i think as you listen through all of Supporting Caste, you’ll start to see how the two singer dynamic works together to make Propagandhi such a unique band. Really glad to hear you’re gonna check it out! Have fun!
They're really 2 different bands, the one before Today's Empires, and the one from there forward. The change of direction and sound is so markedly different, that's how I think of them. The fun punk band version, then the serious version. I definitely prefer their new stuff.
@JakeBass666 to be fair TETA was their best album and kind of a merger... they did have more serious stuff before but style wise this was the perfect storm..(please note: I still love both)
I bought How To Clean Everything the week that it was released in 1993. It was so different than everything else Fat wreck chords was releasing at the time, instantly loved it. I can absolutely see how if someone got into the band somewhere in the middle of their career the may not like it but for me, it started there and got better with each new album 🤟😜
Glad you love this band. They are one of the few that have gotten better with time. Probably the only band from the 90s punk era that I still listen to regularly.
Your analysis is spot on. They basically drew the gain back with each album. Thanks for checking them out! Even when you get into the john k. Era, he he's really unique pick tone and style.
Glad to hear you’ve discovered Propagandhi, been a fan of them from the beginning, check out some of their early work. “Anti-Manifesto” hits pretty hard!
Check out the French fast melodic punk band Forus, especially the song The Unlucky Number. They're fucking technical, and there's some wild tapping on the bass guitar.
Night Letters and Without Love are amazing. In fact all they do is gold. I heard you say you're not much of a lyrics guy or maybe it's not the first thing you go for but you gotta make an exception for this band. It cannot be dissociated from the experience.
I read them at length when I do the full albums, just gets overwhelming on the single songs trying to wrap my head around the music at the same time. I totally agree - their lyrical content is next level!

Oh, FUCK yes!
Supporting Cast(e) is my absolute favorite album of theirs. It's insane, start to finish. Tertium Non Datur is an absolute rager
I feel so attached to Francis and want to be his friend. Ugggggghhh.
That pig didn't GIVE A FUCK about the rollbacks!
every video you make i see you choose another masterpiece, great vids man, keep digging in in punk rock and hardcore
One of the most underrated bands ever !!🤝my man!
This band is si awesome. Listening to them for close to 30 years and still in my top 5 I guess.
Bass speaking, really like Adventures in Zoochosis. Such a nice song. Breakdown = Goosebumps everytime.
Definitely one of my favourite of their songs
i find it really interesting that you think Chris and Todd have similar voices! Have fun!
I think he's going to be really shocked when he works his way all the way back to How To Clean Everything 😁
STFFUYGDAYSOAB haha
@@nextinlinecanada5713 I love going back and listening to those bangers!
Glad you love this band. They are one of the few that have gotten better with time. Probably the only band from the 90s punk era that I still listen to regularly.
This album is so full of absolute bangers! Check out the title track and next song Supporting Caste as well!
A really fantastic band, love hearing your breakdowns of their tunes.
Your analysis is spot on. They basically drew the gain back with each album. Thanks for checking them out! Even when you get into the john k. Era, he he's really unique pick tone and style.
Great news, just saw that the band is currently in the studio recording a new album. Patreron review when it drops??
Glad to hear you’ve discovered Propagandhi, been a fan of them from the beginning, check out some of their early work. “Anti-Manifesto” hits pretty hard!
Love how you need to describe music with your hands Propagandhi is so theatrical
Been listening to them since the early 90s. They keep getting better and better
This band rules. When All Your Fears Collide and Negredo off of Victory Lap are sung by ‘The Rod.’
Check out the French fast melodic punk band Forus, especially the song The Unlucky Number. They're fucking technical, and there's some wild tapping on the bass guitar.
Supporting Caste is their opus. It's as close to perfect as you can get. The tab book was a great help when learning it from start to finish.
I’m going to be listening to it this Thursday and am super pumped! It’s winning this month’s poll for the full-album analysis. Can’t wait!!
Such a underated so good so many good albums and songs
Night Letters and Without Love are amazing. In fact all they do is gold. I heard you say you're not much of a lyrics guy or maybe it's not the first thing you go for but you gotta make an exception for this band. It cannot be dissociated from the experience.
I read them at length when I do the full albums, just gets overwhelming on the single songs trying to wrap my head around the music at the same time. I totally agree - their lyrical content is next level!
Man, propag classic stuff. Take a listen at Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes one of my fav all time.
My friend !.. welcome into Propaghandhi world. Dear Coache’s Corner or Duplicate Keys Icaro next and a new subscriber is coming on your channel. Thank you!
It's a toss up between Supporting Caste and Potemkin City Limits for my favorite, but they're all amazing. Hearing this again gave me chills the same way it did when it first came out.
The first time you said it, I wasn't sure but after the second time I'm fairly certain you said "Supporting Castle". Love the videos and hate to correct you, but it's Supporting Caste. Can't wait to see you do more Propagandhi.
Hell yeah!! And today they just posted that they're recording new stuffs 😊
Finally thank you😊
This song was a new chapter in the quality of their song writing. Complete masterpiece.
