If you live near one of the tracks/venues, suggest you go along and talk to some of the drivers in the paddock. They're usually more than willing to help/advise and the paddock area is usually open to spectators with no extra charge and the drivers are easy to find and friendly. Road cars don't need many alterations. Always check your tyres are eligible though as I believe there is a list of what road tyres can be used or not. Enjoy :)
The guy in the blue car is smart. He's preserving his tires by taking corners the right way. Too wide puts unnecessary friction on the tires and causes spin outs. The other guys are focused on their track times and rushing their cornering. That's dangerous. If u spin out the track time doesn't matter bro.
Beautiful video. I live in the south of Sardinia, even in my city there is a time trial. It is called the Iglesias - Sant'Angelo.

Yes! Beautiful cornering. The first guy did great. Tight entrance smooth exit and swung out into the next curve. Nice!

I always thought cheddar gorge would be a good hillclimb location.
I've only been there once. I'd definitely prefer to drive it than ride a bike up there!

Not quite! At least it made it to the finish, which was looking in doubt for a moment there.
Very nice, though I have to say that the Swiss really know how to stage a proper hill climb.
yeah they have some good ones, different skill set here though.
@@alfamonk Yup. The Swiss events are setup like a high speed circuit event. Is likely the reason they appear to be so spectacular on TH-cam

The front wheel drive guys need thinner tyres on the back...it swings around better and stops it from going on 3 wheels
