The acceleration on the Intercity Express Train, even without the patogram/electric, is really impressive! (I see these trains all the time and it never doesn't impress)
Every upload is consistently good, high quality videos galore! You never fail to disappoint. You must have so many pre-filmed videos judging by the dates aswell
Great video, Those HSTs are precious!!! When the XC ones get Axed I believe that one should be preserved in the national railway museum. I’m definitely going to be getting some shots of them before they sadly leave on September 18th.
Thanks Transpennine, I'm not sure if there are any plans for the XC HSTs, since they are fairly modified (unlike the EMR Powercars). I won't say much but I'll be out on the last day and the charter day. 😃
Awesome video mate just noticed this :) and also realised I was on 800306 on the 1515 out of Plymouth that very day and came in on the XC HST that you filmed :)
My first vieo i watched was the trains at Glasgow central when i was at my grandma's house and after i got back i west your youtube channel and subscribed and im still subscribed to this day
Its a little more complicated than that. GWR's own CEO stated that they will be used until 'at least December 2024' so they could be in service well into 2025 but I'm sure the results will be known closer to the time.
Plymouth railway station serves the city of Plymouth, Devon, England. It is on the northern edge of the city centre, close to the North Cross roundabout. It is the second busiest station in the county of Devon, and the largest of the six surviving stations in Plymouth. It is on the route from London Paddington to Penzance, 245 miles 75 chains from the zero point at London Paddington via Box and is also the usual terminus for the Tamar Valley Line services from Gunnislake. The station is managed by Great Western Railway. Services are operated by Great Western Railway and CrossCountry.
It'll be sad when XC and GW get rid of their HST sets whilst yes they've been working for some 40+ years and have more than earnt a quiet retirement It'll not be the same with 800s and voyagers
I use a VX1, I believe there isn’t any difference between the two other than software. If your going to buy one, I recommend shopping around since it’s not the best value now. The Sony AX53 is a good option for today.
Ahh my lovely and beautifully scenic local station!! Great vairety here and youi have captured it very well with all of our HSTs!!
Ah, the Cornish boarder and the most southern terminus a few hours away. Very nice to see the HST's still in action (for now anyway)

Yeah they go super fast, breaks can get squeaky though

A lot of HSTs. They’re proper trains, even without the slam doors.
A lot of upgradez
Some call them dinosaurs, but they're just speedy and comfy dinosaurs 🦕
THX STARLIFE FOR THIS VIDEO 😊
Fantastic video. Last bastion of the HSTs alongside Scotland

Hi. Great video. I miss the HSTs. I was wondering what camera you used for the filming?. Many thanks.

A sight that is sadly no longer seen are XC HSTs.
I’m afraid not. Time was up for them and it will soon be fore the GWR HSTs too.
If I remember correctly, the GWR castle sets go in December@@StarlifeStudios

@@StarlifeStudios losing the InterCity125 sets is a disgrace and we now have to travel on the dreadfully uncomfortable 800s and 802s
May I ask please what camera do you use? your videos are amazing!
I use a Panasonic HC-VX1.
@@StarlifeStudios Thank you very much, your videos are really really cool!
Hi Ross brilliant vid mate. Got a Questions When are the GWR HST come out of service and How many GWR HST are left

i thought the GWR 43s were retired a few years back
Are CrossCountry getting rid of the Class 43 Mk3 HSTs or are they keeping some of them. And the rest for storage.
Hi I'm from the future all the XC HSTs are gone the only remaining ones are GWR and ScotRail
hey starlife you should go to horsham station you get some great trains and several deffiernt routes
Good vid;)

Hey Starlife, why is 220018 going to Macclesfield?
This service became delayed en-route to Manchester Piccadilly. It was terminated short at Macclesfield when 30 minutes late and turned back.
question 1. will you Still be going to nottingham station.
question 2 will the class 810 emr will ne going to Nottingham?
